13. Anticipation

Aria pov

December showed up and the Yuletide Ball was announced to be held on Christmas Eve night. I was so excited it's the first time they implemented this. Professor Weasley said to was to bring some joy to the season and to reward the students for their best behavior while the school is locked down. She wants to allow the students to celebrate and not fear. For it's a season to celebrate and enjoy the company of our peers.

We had our end of month exams quickly coming up before the holiday break. I was spending many hours now in the library. I had much to catch up on still. Poppy would join me some days but mostly she spent her time elsewhere. I haven't asked her about it, I didn't want to pry, but I was curious. Did she find a date and now she's spending loads of time with him? Sebastian liked to accompany me into the library most days. I spent that time with him. Ominis would join on the weekends, because he had a class during that time.

I've been waiting patiently, mostly, for the boys to ask me to this Ball coming up. I've heard whispers between them so I know they're scheming something, but what, I'm not sure. The anticipation was killing me. I don't care how they do it. I was getting nervous though. I know it's coming but when is the question.

One day when I was walking alone down the corridor heading to transfiguration minding my own business, I felt a hand grab me and I was whisked away by an arm into an empty classroom. I looked up to see Ominis staring down at me and holding my arm, I forget how tall he is sometimes. Merlin he's so hot.

"Hello love" he says.

"Hi Omi" I say giggling.

"Love I have these for you" he says and pulls a beautiful bouquet of flowers from behind his back, and handing them to me.

"I'd love if you accompany me to the ball?" He asks.

"Oh Omi! Of course!" I say then he leaned and kissed me. I kissed him back with just as much gusto. When I separated from him to catch my breath. "These flowers are beautiful" I say.

"Well I don't know about that, but I know they're not as beautiful as you are" Omi said making me blush and go very red in the face. Thank Merlin she can't see it.

"Oh Om" I say but he goes in to kiss my neck.

"Omi I have to go to class, we can continue later but I have transfiguration and Weasley hates students who are late" I say.

"Very well love" he says. "Love you"

"Love you too" I say give him one more peck on the lips and I take my flowers and cast a reducio to make them smaller and put them in my robes and head to class.

I did end up getting to Weasley's class without being late. She was teaching us about how to do human transfiguration. I was paired with Natty in this class. We had to turn each other into different animals and back. It was very interesting. When class was over I walked with her to the Great Hall for the feast. She split with me to go sit with her house at the Gryffindor table. I waved to Poppy at our house table and I went to sit at the Slytherin table with Ominis and we waited for Sebastian. Only he didn't show. Or at least I thought that until I heard his voice over the chatter of the rest of the Hall. Then I saw him standing at the doors with his wand to his throat.

"Aria Black" he says walking over to me then kneeling holding out a single rose.

"Would you accompany me to the Ball?" He asks.

"Of course Sebastian" I say taking the rose. Then he kissed me in front of everyone. He pulled away and sat down next to me on the other side that Ominis was not and I was back in my favorite spot, between my two boys.
