"Hello"
She smiled softly coming to join him on the sofa where he had been slowly replying to some very boring emails for the past couple of hours. Instead of bothering him and trying to get his attention, she had a bath with lots of Epsom salts, shaved and dyed her hair. It was an everything in one tonight. She had then picked out her pyjamas and dryed her hair, plaiting it ready for tomorrow (she wanted to have curls when she woke up) and then finally throwing on her dressing gown.It was autumn, approaching winter and coming up to their 6 years together. December 4th. That's when he had officially asked her back in 2018 after many weeks of innocent flirting, a few kisses than they probably should of had and finally a confession of their feelings for eachother. Then he had built up the courage to finally ask her and she had of course said yes. Now they were here, 6 years later. They had a house they both loved, a house with empty rooms upstairs ready for any children they were to have. They had their own cars; she could finally be independent when she hadn't been able to before. Driving in london was scary. She didn't tour anymore, it had taken alot out of her and she wanted to stop. The next few years would have alot change for them.
They didn't necessarily have a plan to try for a baby or get married soon. They hadn't particularly spoken about it but there was nothing stopping them from taking either one of those steps in their relationship. They knew it would be happening in the next few years. Or at least dianne did anyway. She knew for sure two would turn to three within the next year or so but with marrige, she didn't know.
Joe was always unsure on when he wanted to ask dianne to marry him. They had spoken about it before and he had told her he wasn't even sure if he did want to marry her. He for sure loved her, there was no doubt about that, he wanted to be with her forever but he didn't beleive in marrige. He couldn't understand that signing your name on a particular peice of paper would change your whole status and make you legally bonded for the rest of your lives. It just meant you were no longer boyfriend and girlfriend, you were now instead husband and wife. It was just a different way of calling the person you were with. Nothing changed, except for maybe the girls last name and she had told him that if they ever were to get married she would like to keep Buswell. So if he was to ask her that all important question, to him it would almost seem pointless. Yes, she would have a big fancy ring on her finger now when she didn't before but the only thing that would be different would that she would be his wife, not his girlfriend. And wife Dianne would be the same as girlfriend dianne. His love for her would stay the same. Ontop of that, his parents were divorced, so he didn't really know what the point of getting married was.
He had made that clear to her within the first year of their relationship. They had, had a conversation about it and told her he might not ever propose. It wasn't really something he could imagine himself doing. It did put her off for a while and she did have to wonder if he was the right person for her but she soon realised that marrige didn't really change anything. They could still be happy and love eachother if they didn't get married. She would love if he did ask her but wouldn't mind if he also didn't. It wouldn't stop them from having children together or growing old together. It didn't really matter and so wasn't something they ever thought about.
"Oh....sorry are you still working?"
She took a step back seeing his emails still open on his laptop."Yeah but I'm nearly done, it's ok, you can come here"
He held his arm out to let her come and sit back next to him. He pulled her closer and she looked st what he was doing.
His emails were open on a chain between one of his agents, himself and zoe. They were working on a project together and she was very excited to see it come to life as despite being siblings, zoe and joe hadn't worked on something together since their sugg life merch, so this would be big. Seeing it though made her think.
Zoe had messaged her earlier that morning and she hadn't told joe. Not that she needed to but she wanted to tell him. He was her boyfriend and she wanted to tell him.
