I tried to make this as less mature as possible as I wanted to make it really cute and meaningful but it was hard not to. I tried my best.
It's been a while since I wrote this and now reading it back I don't really like it. It's quite simular to the last chapter too but with it being over 6000 words I don't want to throw that work away. I promise you, I have some non baby related chapters coming up. I have an adventure in chippy coming up next, and then one more and there's a whole influx of different chapters after that.  I got a 2 parter much sadder storyline and a school one 2 parter. There's also a few strictly related ones.

"We just need you to sign on this line here and that means you're officially no longer employed by the BBC"

Dianne was sat in a quiet room in the middle of the television studios in London, surrounded by her manager, a strictly director and a producer.
It was quite an intimate meeting. Nobody beyond that room knew it was going on, except from joe, diannes boyfriend, who being long term knew exactly everything she was going to say in that meeting and what would happen. She had told him everything and the final decision had actually been made mutually between them, but this now was real. The day she signed off. The day she was no longer employed by the BBC which meant she was no longer a part of strictly come dancing. A tough decision, but the right decision. For her. For joe. For her family.

"You ok?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, it's just hard"
Dianne scanned her eyes over that peice of paper, lots of complicated words formed into long paragraphs and at the bottom the line she needed to sign. She took the pen, writing her name and when she put it down, she really had to take a moment to realise what she had done.

"Ok...."
She handed the paper back to the strictly director, the original lady that had scouted her in the first place. The same lady who had interviewed her along with Jason back in the earlier months of 2017. Now she was leaving.

"Thanks dianne. I know that was alot"
She smiled. Dianne had been quite open with the relevant people about how she felt leaving the show. She had spoken to her manager about how she had come to the decision and had spoken about how it was making her feel. She was sad and she knew she was for sure going to go and have abit of a cry now that it wad done but she also knew it was the right decision for her. She had done her time and although she never wanted to leave, there was a time where she needed to and that was now. Strictly wasn't a forever thing, even if she thought it was when she first joined. Since then she had met joe and now her life was alot different to what she had imagined it being when she had first signed her contract.

"It was, but....its what's best for me now at this stage of my life"
Dianne knew doing this would be a whole mixed bag of emotions. She was sad strictly was no longer going to be in her life in the same way. She felt as if her purpose in life was being lost but now she had a new purpose. She had other plans.

"Of course, and what you do with your career is always your decision so thank you I know it was quite a big thing for you to say that....that you wanted to leave strictly"
Even just hearing that out loud was painful but it was official now and there was no going back. About a months worth of phone calls and meetings was coming to an end.

"You still happy to have it announced on Thursday next week?"
Dianne nodded, her eyes down at the floor, trying to process it all.

"Sure, that sounds good"
She nodded sadly.

"Ok, well I think we should let you get going just to process it all as I can already see its hitting you quite hard. I'll contact you in a few days time about the post but I'll give you some time to think but we're always going to be here for you if you need anything"
This departure was going to be hard for everyone. Though it was diannes career, for the woman who interviewed her, who was now also letting her go it was hard. One of the shows most successful and valued professionals leaving the show it was a big deal and everyone involved in the show was nervous about it being announced. Diannes social media popularity had for obvious reasons grown alot more than some of the other professionals and that meant that this decision wouldn't just be hard for the people she worked with but for those who followed her life. It was for sure something the directors and producers of strictly had to plan carefully.
