A few weeks ago mixersuggwell gave me some more ideas and this is the first one. ⚠️It does have a trigger warning for miscarriage but the ending is happy. I promise⚠️ this idea kinda of gave me a chance to write a sad story but with the happiest ending. Sorry my uploads haven't been regular at all lately. I've been trying to find my motivation and I eventually did a few days ago and wrote 3 chapters back to back, this is the first one so I hope you enjoy x

"Hi, yeah, my friend has booked a table under the name dowden I think"
Dianne told the waitress. She had just walked into a really busy but cute breakfast cafe and trying to spot Amy or even discover if she was there at all was difficult with everybody about. However, Amy was early to absolutely everything. Unlike her, she was very organised and so the chances of her being there already was almost certain.
"Yes of course, she's here already, just over in the corner"
The young girl pointed in the direction and dianne saw Amy sat at a table her hair perfectly straightened and makeup done to perfection even with a winged tip and her outfit was just crisp-neatly ironed and each button done up to the top. Dianne however felt the total opposite to how Amy was feeling. She had just got off the train and rushed to meet her, her makeup was slapped on and hair had been done in the car when joe had dropped her off at the station. She was just wearing a hoodie and a pair of leggings not wanting to make a statement today, there was no point trying to make herself feel good when she knew it wouldn't work. Hopefully a catch up with Amy would make her feel a little bit better.
"Thank you...Hi ames"
Dianne thanked the waitress and waved at her friend as she approached the table.
"Di, oh my goodness babe, I've missed you"
Amy stood up wrapping her arms around the redhead. She knew dianne needed it. Joe had only told her briefly how she was feeling but even if she just knew little, dianne was definitely in some need of abit of love.
"Me too, it's been so long"
Dianne said sitting down seeing Amy had already brought her a drink which she was internally great full for. She was also grateful it wasn't an alcoholic drink. This brunch cafe did breakfast cocktails and it was their usp. If she hadn't been feeling the way she was, she maybe would of considered ordering one but was happy Amy had got her exact order. A black coffee, a small one, not even filled up to the top and then a glass of water.
"It has, your boyfriend told me you needed a catchup which we both do to be honest. It's been a good couple of months since I last saw you"
"It has. I've missed you so much. I haven't seen many of you at all since....I don't even know, its been a while"
Dianne sipped on her coffee and sat quietly for a few moments scanning her eyes over the menu.
