If you've read alot of my one shots you'll know I sometimes, at least once a book do a chapter where the chspter takes the form of something non fiction like a letter or a diary entry or a speech. In the past ive done a wedding speech from the pov of diannes dad, I've also written a letter as if it's been written by dianne to joe who is away filming a TV show and ive also done a diary entry written by a teenage dianne, before it then cuts back to dianne reading that to her future daughter. I hope you know the chapters I'm talking about and recognise those plots. I wanted to do something simular for this book and I decided to write a letter as if its written by joe for dianne. I took inspiration from the classic caption of 'HVDDB' and by the title of this chapter which is 'HVDDS' you're hopefully realising to a degree what this chapter will include. It's set during a time where dianne is no longer dianne buswell, but dianne sugg.
The later hours of February 13th 2027
Around 10pm"Please remind me not to drink the champagne in my room. I can't be hungover for my wedding day"
Dianne exaggerated as she looked into the eyes of an also very tipsy joe who just like her had been drinking, just a little bit. He knew his limits and had stopped when he knew if he had one more he would be hungover. He had also stopped her from drinking anymore and had taken her back to her hotel room."Don't drink the champagne, you can't be hungover for the wedding. You know what maybe I should come in there and take it out for you"
He told her, trying to open the door but she leant against it quite abruptly."You can't go in there"
She panicked, but also gave him a somewhat seductive but also cute smirk."Why? Why can't I go in your room?"
"Because my dress is hanging up in there and you can't see that. It's bad luck"
She told him but he already knew that. She had infact kept her wedding dress at one of her friends house, and she hadn't even told him which friend because she was so worried he would have a little peak at it. She did trust him and he had promised not to look at it, but she had been extra cautious.
She knew if she had somebody else's wedding dress in her house, she would definitely want to look at it."Do you also know whats bad luck?"
She asked him."What?"
"The bride and groom spending the night before the wedding together"
She reminded him."Yes that's very true...."
He nodded before it felt silent between them."That was sort of your signal to go Joseph. I'm absolutely knackered and I've got my makeup at 9am and I've got to shower, wash and dry my hair yet. And I need to shave"
"Ooo, is there a special occasion?"
He asked making her smile."Yes....I'm getting married tomorrow. Did you know? Were you made aware?"
She asked him."I think I remember. But you said you needed to shave? What's that for? Will you and the guy you're marrying be up to anything interesting once the party's over? Is that why you need to shave?"
He asked."Joseph! I mean i need to shave my legs"
She hit him playfully, making him laugh even more, the two of them not caring who heard. The hotel was fully booked, mainly with their wedding guests. Their chosen venue had a hotel on site and so most of their family and friends had booked just for ease. They themselves had booked. But as per tradition they had different rooms on total opposite ends of the hotel. Dianne was on the first floor and joe was staying on the top floor.
