Traumatic backstory time

It was Friday and as the weekend approached the class was planning on having a barbecue on the roof to celebrate the first week of their last year together.

The last couple days flew by for y/n, she was still getting use to the time difference which made her quieter than she normally was which was a relief to bakugo because she'd just listen and do as he said in their first couple of sessions. Today was their third official tutor session and y/n was adapting to life here so her mood lifted a bit.

"Okay bakugo what are we doing this time?" He grimaced at her enthusiasm "why the hell are you so loud right now?" With an eye roll she took out her pencil "why are you so grouchy right now?" He responded by tossing her a study guide he made.

She skimmed over the study guide and looked to the side "thanks" his face scrunched "I'm not helping because I want to." Y/n set the study guide on her desk "well either way thanks." He stood and grabbed his bag "study this over the weekend." He said pointing to her desk "don't bother me the rest of the night" she watched as he opened her door "stop being such a mood killer kitty kat." His eyes darted to her simmering with anger at her nickname before he stormed off.

Y/n knocked on Minas door and it nearly flew off the hinges when she opened it "y/n you're just in time to get ready!" Y/n crossed her arms apprehensively as the girl grabbed a short dress off a hanger. "Okay so you should wear this because duh you'd look smokin!" Y/n shook her head "I'll stick to what I'm wearing since it's just a barbecue but you can do my makeup still."

Mina jumped into action pulling y/n by her sleeve so she'd plop onto the bed and grabbed an eyebrow pencil. After finishing her eyebrows and eye makeup she picked a lip color that paired well with y/n's skin and makeup.

Mina grabbed a hand held mirror "so what do ya think?!" Y/n let her eyes rake over her face "I love it!" Mina squealed "okay let's get up there cuz I'm starving!"

The two joined their group who was also accompanied by izuku, Ururaka and jiro. Bakugo sat in the corner with his regular scowl as he was immersed in his phone.

"Oh my gosh y/n you look so pretty I love the eyeshadow!" Ururaka gushed. "Thanks Uru, mina did it for me." Kirishima brought over food and drinks for everyone and called out to bakugo "bro come eat, you've been stuck on your phone all day now" y/n glanced at him as he clicked his phone off and slipped it into his pocket with a smirk directed at her.

Bakugo blocked y/n from reaching a plate as he loaded up his own "bakugo either move or give me a plate" he reached over and shoved a plate into her hand "anything for you princess" pink spread across her cheeks and she stuttered "w-what the fuck bakugo" he smirked and grabbed a napkin and fork before he leaned into her ear as he walked behind her "I figured out what you were hiding in your books y/n" her face blanched and she snapped her head to look at him "what do you want" he held her stare "who knew you were such a perv y/n I guess freak really does suit you." She leaned closer "don't fucken tell anyone" he thought about it for a second "what's in it for me ?" Out of desperation she narrowed her eyes "I'll owe you a favor"

      Bakugo acted as if he was thinking it over "what if I say no" he could see the panic showing in her eyes now "please bakugo" he smiled deviously "that's all you had to say princess." He walked away and heard her mumble "fuck you bakugo!"

      Kirishima eyed bakugo questioningly as he sat down smugly "what was that?" Bakugo feigned ignorance "what was what" kirishima narrowed his eyes "don't act like I didn't see what just happened, I thought you didn't like her" bakugo furrowed his brows at his friend "I was getting under her skin" a small smirk graced his lips again "anyways, she owes me a favor now and I can use it to my advantage."

      Kirishima looked over at her as she still looked flustered and extremely on edge as she fumbled with her eating utensils. He sighed seeing as bakugo was in fact getting under her skin.

      Y/n was trying to make it not obvious she was feeling a load of emotions. Bakugo was an asshole but she couldn't help but enjoy the nickname coming from him it sounded so...wait she shouldn't be thinking that. She was flustered and panicked because god she did not want anyone to know her hobby was reading porn and now she owes that ass a favor and she didn't even make any rules for it or how soon he had to use it. She was internally kicking herself for that.

       Mina was flirting with kirishima now and Uru pulled y/n to the side "hey what's wrong?" They sat down on the edge of the roof away from their class "I'm just feeling a little homesick" which was technically not a lie.

      Uru looked at the sunset "do you get to talk to your family and friends back home?" Y/n smiled sadly "actually no" Uru turned to her with a frown "why not?" Y/n let a heavy sigh "you promise not to share this?" Her head bobbed in agreement waiting for y/n to go on "it's not that I can't tell anyone it's just I don't want people to look at me with pity or think differently of me and I just, it's not easy to talk about so how can anyone talk about it if they don't know..ya know?" Ururaka nodded her head and hummed agreeing with her.

      Y/n clasped her hands in her lap squeezing them together "last year I had two friends who were like family to me. One of them had a quirk called electricity and the other was in the course for engineering hero gear. The one with the electricity quirk, max, she had always been in love with Peter the one in engineering. Well I was struggling for the longest time with my quirk it was confusing and difficult to manage and at some point I figured it out and worked my way to being the top student."

      Y/n hugged her arms to her sides " Peter started getting closer to me and come to find out he liked me, and although I turned him down, max...she hated me. She would do all these things to try and get me expelled and instead got herself expelled...she blamed me for 'taking Peter from her' stealing her spot as top student and getting her expelled."

      The orange glow from the setting sun cast onto the girls and it dipped lower into the horizon. " she lost it...I'm not sure what happened but she killed Peter." Her eyes watered but she took a deep breath and continued avoiding uru's sad eyes "she went looking for me but I had snuck out that night, when she didn't find me at my house she killed my aunt."

     Ururaka reached for y/n's hand quietly as she continued "I came home and found my aunt, she was the only family I had." Y/n looked up at the sky to avoid any tears falling "they never found max, All Might had been visiting our school and caught wind of what happened and suggested I come here. I had a fresh start, there's dorms, I was the number one student and I didn't have to look at the halls and home that haunt my dreams every night. So I took the offer ."

     Ururaka gave her a bear hug "I won't tell anyone I promise, and you can always come talk to me about it if you need to." Y/n nodded "thanks uru, it feels good to have someone to talk to that isn't All Might or Aizawa." They both chuckled and climbed off the edge as the last of the sun set. Only a few people remained on the dark rooftop immersed in their own conversations. "Come on y/n let's get to bed it's getting late."  Y/n hummed in agreement and followed her trusted friend silently.
