The rest of the week was filled with many baking and cooking sessions with Mitsuki, lots of gaming and reading in katsuki's room, a plethora of discussions about the whereabouts of the league, and just going to the backyard to keep in shape and strengthen her quirk.
Sunday night Masaru and Mitsuki informed katsuki and her that they'd be off on a business trip starting Wednesday. Y/n frowned, Mitsuki noticed and put a hand on her hip "don't worry we'll be expecting you for Christmas and spring break"
Y/n quirked the corner of her mouth up into a soft smile "I know but it's just so nice" katsuki grinned "you just love dinner being made for you every damn night" y/n flicked his forehead "of course I love when your mom makes food every night. It's amazing! Don't forget I helped make lots of them too buddy."
Masaru chuckled and sipped some tea "you both should have your friends over to swim before you leave." Y/n beamed and katsuki fought the urge to say no simply because he was enjoying his time away from the chaos.. not that he wasn't the cause often times.
"Kat we should totally have them over on Thursday so they can stay the night!" Mitsuki clapped her hands just as excited as y/n "I can prep some food for you all, y/n maybe you can bake some of your recipes! Oh I'll run to the store and get everything tomorrow"
Mitsuki sat down with y/n excitedly planning food and dessert for Thursday, making sure to list out the ingredients they'd need.
Monday rolled around and katsuki's mom came back that evening with a handful of grocery bags. Katsuki was adoring and abhorrent towards the fact that y/n was currently spending all her time with his mom instead of himself. He couldn't be upset about it though, he truly did admire that she stole his parents hearts along with his and it helped that she wasn't feeling the anxiety and grief as their trip to the states approached.
Tuesday y/n spent the day baking cheesecake, and a couple kinds of cookies all while chatting up Mitsuki who was cooking up a storm.
Wednesday afternoon y/n hugged Mitsuki and Masaru goodbye "promise you'll send pictures of you and katsuki's trip?" Y/n nodded at the woman fighting back the lump in her throat "I will, Thank you for welcoming me into your home. I hope to visit again before Christmas break" Mitsuki tilted her head at the parting confession "of course dear, you are welcome to pop by whenever you can"
Katsuki was pulled into a bone crushing hug "take care of her you shit!" He pried her off of him "get the hell off you hag, of course I'll take care of her!"
Masaru and katsuki carried the luggage to the car leaving Mitsuki with y/n. "Mitsuki?" She turned to y/n with a questioning look "I..Nevermind" she wanted to thank her again but felt as if she would drown the woman in thank yous.
Mitsuki gave her a hug "I know you're going back home soon, I can't imagine how you must feel but give me the word and I'll send care packages, just tell me where and it'll be there." Y/n nodded and pulled back from the hug fighting back tears.
Katsuki came back inside and Mitsuki gave him a quick squeeze before taking her leave with Masaru.
Thursday afternoon y/n was helping katsuki set up the backyard. He was skimming the pool for bugs while she set up the food table with her and Mitsuki's creations.
Sero, kaminari and Jiro showed first and Kirishima showed up not long later with Mina. Kirishima and mina dragged Sero to a corner "we need you to do something sero" he crossed his arms with a glint in his eyes "what is it?" Mina's eyes flicked around checking to see if anyone else could hear "we need you to flirt with y/n"
