DNA

Katsuki and y/n were out the door before all but a few people were up. They urgently made their way to school and slowed as they came closer to Principal Nezu's office "you ready?" She nodded at him and they stepped in.

Nezu looked up from some papers "oh hello. What brings you two here so early." Katsuki crossed his arms with a concerned look "we need to speak with you and Aizawa about something." Nezu nodded, noting how serious the usually explosive boy was.

He picked up the phone and dialed a set of numbers "hello Aizawa.." the two watched Nezu furrow his brows exasperated "yes yes I know it's early, there is a serious matter with two of your students and you're needed in my office immediately." He hung up the phone and sighed before placing his attention back on the two students.

He motioned for the two to take a seat on a couch residing in the corner "would you like to wait for Aizawa?" Kat eyed y/n feeling a pang in his chest at her exhaustion "we'll wait" Nezu nodded and continued reading over some papers until Aizawa showed up.

The door swung open and y/n sat up straight, nerves picking up. "What happened" their teacher spoke in a an annoyed tone. Nezu set his stack of papers down "you're students needed to speak with us, I presume about something important." Y/n nodded turning to her teacher.

"I need to take a DNA test" Aizawa furrowed his brows trying to put together a reason for such a test. "I think my.." katsuki tapped her knee with his as if to tell her he'd take it from here "we have an idea of who her birth father is"

Aizawa understood why this would be helpful information for the girl in regards to her quirk but didn't understand why he was woken up so early for this. Katsuki could see the gears turning "she might be Max- I mean Electros sister."

There it is was, now he understood "I see. Recovery girl can draw some blood for you and Nezu and I will take care of the rest." Y/n nodded as he continued "until we know the situation as a whole don't speak about this with anyone else. I think it would do more harm to you if the media got ahold of this." Nezu nodded "they have a way with twisting things so I agree with Aizawa."

     Y/n stood up and katsuki followed as she left the office in silence. She stopped by recovery girls office letting her know that she needed her blood drawn and that Aizawa would need it.

     Katsuki never felt worried for other people, he'd never really sought out a relationship. So when he fell anxious at how quiet and vacant she seemed he didn't know how to react or what to do.

     They finished the blood draw and stepped into the hallway. His hand clasped around her wrist pulling her hand into his own making her face him.

     "You're kinda freaking me the fuck out. I know you aren't okay, are you sure you don't want to skip?" She shook her head and squeezed his hand "sorry I just..this all just explains so much and so little, leaving me with so many questions.."

     He cupped her jaw "I've never been in a relationship. I feel like a dumbass because I'm not sure what to do, but what I'm trying to say is you can talk to me about any of it" she nodded leaning her head into his hand and closing her eyes "I'm really just tired and confused kat" her eyes opened and met his, she swallowed back the lump in her throat "this all happened in January. I was in shock for a good while, and then all of a sudden I was moving here. All Might had some people go into my house to get what I requested since I refused to go back. I moved here and never left my hotel room and studied Japanese until my brain bled."

     His index tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear as she continued "I looked at some pictures last night..ones I kept separate from the rest. I felt like it happened all over again kat-" her voice cracked when she said his name.

     His thumb wiped away a stray tear and a frown settled on his features "it sounds like you didn't get to grieve" her bottom lip wobbled "I don't want to kat.. because then it's like I've accepted that they are gone"

     He pulled her into a hug, his hand cupping the back of her head "you haven't talked about them much to me so maybe I'm overstepping.. I think they'd want you to heal and be happy." He pulled her away and looked at her scrunched up face "it's going to take time, maybe even a long time but take it one day at a time. Maybe you can tell me about them and focus on the happy memories, yeah?" She nodded.

     Y/n took a deep breath "Thank you kat" he kissed her forehead and began pulling her down the empty hall to their class. "Where are we going? Class doesn't start for another hour."

     He side eyed her "you're still a dumbass and need my help with class work" she rolled her eyes with a nearly visible smile "I just poured my heart out to you and all you hear is the part where I barely had time to learn Japanese" he sat down in his seat pulling out some papers "don't be a little shit, and pull out your text book."

The lunch bell rang and everyone was up ready to fill their stomachs. Y/n wasn't feeling hungry so she took her seat waiting for the others. Mina slid in her seat beside her "spill. Why are you so gloomy today?" Y/n grimaced slightly and forced a small smile towards her friend.

"I didn't sleep at all last night and I'm just having a rough day." Mina nodded eyes softening "mkay, how about we have a sleepover tonight with the girls?" Y/n quirked a brow "tonight? Tuesday school night, tonight?" Mina grinned and waved her hand in the air "who gives a shit. I think you deserve girl time since you are always around Bakugo, you need some cheering up and most of all you owe us" she sighed , it wasn't such a bad idea and would essentially take her mind off of things.

She nodded her head at Mina "yeah okay let's do it." Mina squealed earning confused looks from the boys as they sat down at the table. Katsuki's usual scowl deepened at Mina's noise levels "what the hell are you being so damn loud for raccoon eyes"

Mina folded her hands together beside her head and lent on them dramatically, dawning a cheesy smile and fluttering lashes "y/n agreed to have a sleepover with us girls tonight" katsuki settled his gaze on y/n with mixed emotions. On one hand he was happy that she could take her mind off things and on the other hand he was not all that happy he'd be sleeping alone.

Kaminari perked up "a sleepover? Can we come?" Mina chucked a piece of kimchi at him "it's a girls only sleepover kami" he feigned sadness while flicking away the cold slimy chunk of cabbage.

     Kirishima slapped a hand on the table earning glances from a nearby table "we should do a boys night!" Kami regained his happy composure again "dude yes!" Sero nodded in agreement while shoveling down food.

Kirishima turned to katsuki "bakubro can you bring a couple extra controllers" katsuki gave the red head major side eye "what makes you think I'm coming to your slumber party" kirishima grinned toothily "you owe me"

     Katsuki deadpanned at him "I don't owe you shit" kirishima rebutted "you ditched our workout last Thursday and this morning" katsuki was cornered "fucken fine but you better get the good snacks."

Mina snapped her eyes to y/n narrowing them while y/n avoided her by looking at the ceiling. Mina was putting two and two together. Katsuki ditched kirishima Thursday. Y/n was no where to be found that night and showed up to class the next day with a hickey. Mina was going to let it simmer but she'd definitely have some fun with this resolution before prying the information from her.
