Meeting The Parents

The week of testing dragged by incredibly slow. It was Friday afternoon and class 3A waited in anticipation for their test results. Iida handed out the test scores, the room filled with sounds of excitement, relief and occasional groans of displeasure.

Y/n's eyes raced down her results, smile growing bigger with each nearly perfect score. Her heart pounded hard as she glanced at the reading and writing section. Eyes flicking over to katsuki with joy before she bounced over "I passed!" He grinned "you're not that much of a dumbass after all."

The rest of their group huddled around katsuki's desk. Kirishima pulled katsuki's results from his hand "dude you passed!" Katsuki glared at him before snatching his paper back "of course I did shitty hair"

Kaminari groaned "fuck guys I didn't pass" sero clapped him on the back "neither did I" Mina beamed at her results "I got a C" katsuki scoffed "why are you so happy about that shitty grade" she lifted her chin "I improved enough to not fail, that's a win for me. Y/n what did you get?" She turned to said girl.

"I almost got perfect scores on everything, aside from a B on the reading and writing section." Kaminari furrowed his brows and tipped his head back "you're lucky Aizawa forced Bakugo to tutor you! He doesn't help us at all." Katsuki flicked his eyes to the blonde "shut the hell up pikachu. I only helped her with reading and writing, she didn't need any help with the rest."

Aizawa stood crossing his arms "okay back to your seats." Everyone shuffled back to their desks "those of you who got a C or below will be required to attend a study group here during the rest of July stay back after class if that's you, the rest of you have a good break."

Kaminari, kirishima, sero, Mina, Mineta and Aoyama stayed seated as the rest of the students hurried out with excitement. Aizawa called y/n to his desk before she could leave "Bakugo informed me you'd be staying at his house until you both left for the states, correct?" She nodded hoping no one was eavesdropping "yes" his flicked down to his watch "you cannot leave the Bakugo residence while there due to the still posing risks. Midnight volunteered to drive you both there, we are asking that when you transfer from building to vehicle or visa versa, that you use your camouflage just to be safe."

She nodded "of course sir." He sat back and made a shooing motion with his hand "go on and get out of here."
She beamed at him "thanks Mr. Aizawa!"
With that she turned and left practically bouncing back to dorms.

     Back in her dorm she began packing, squealing with joy every now and then when the excitement bubbled over. She rushed out of her room as soon as she finished and waited at the bottom of the stairs.

     Nearly everyone had left already aside from Jiro. She noticed y/n waiting with her luggage. "Oh y/n, didn't know you were going anywhere." Y/n smiled at Jiro "I'm gonna stay with katsuki's family for a little before heading back to the states" most people thought she was pretty close friends with katsuki by now, and since no one aside from Ururaka and Katsuki knew about her..situation..they'd just assume she was going back to visit family.

     "You're staying with bakugo?" Y/n nodded hoping she thought nothing of it "good luck, last time the whole group was there bakugo and his mom argued the whole time." Y/n shrugged with a grin "would it be weird if I said that sounds nice?" Jiro laughed and checked her phone "welp I gotta go. Have fun, maybe we can do our little book club when we get back." She turned and left leaving y/n to wait in the oddly silent dormitory.

      She hadn't lied when she said it would be nice to see katsuki argue with his mom. She assumed his fiery personality came from somewhere and the connection made her chuckle .

Y/n deeply missed simple things that most took for granted. Little arguments, coming home to a warm dinner, having someone constantly fretting on your well being, even being nagged at about chores. She would give anything to have that again.
