Dinner And Dessert

Mitsuki placed the last two bowls of steaming curry at katsuki's and her own spot. Mitsuki crinkled her nose with a smile "katsuki and I tend to like our curry spicier so I made sure you and Masaru have the regular ones." Y/n took a bite "mmh it's amazing Mitsuki!"

Katsuki's mom sat down "you flatter me too much dear" she turned to her son "katsuki you could learn from her ya know" he scoffed "I'm not gonna help over inflate your ego more than it already is." y/n grinned "Mitsuki do you think you could teach me how to make this?"

The woman put her hand to her chest in flattery "of course honey, I know katsuki could eat this everyday so how about Sunday if you don't mind having it again" y/n bobbed her head in agreement.

Katsuki turned to y/n "ya know I can teach you too" she lifted a brow at him "you can cook?" Mitsuki chuckled "surprisingly as a kid he would beg me to let him help with dinner" y/n crinkled her nose in a smile "that's cute"

Masaru swallowed his bite of food before speaking "so y/n I heard you moved here from the states, are you enjoying your time here?" Y/n nodded "yes, although I haven't gotten to visit much of anything, I'm falling in love with life here." Mitsuki tilted her head to the side "do you miss being back at home?"

Katsuki's head snapped up ready to shut his mom down but y/n tapped her foot against his under the table as if to tell him to back off "right now I can't say that I do, but I'll be visiting in august so maybe that will change."

His dad grinned "oh so that's why katsuki will be gone, I thought it was for hero work?" Y/n's lips tilted up in a bashful smile  "he didn't lie, I needed a hero to accompany me so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have the one and only  Ground Zero protecting me"

His mom beamed at her complementing her son while katsuki silently gloated  "before you leave make sure to give me your parents address so I can send some goodies while you're there." Y/n's smile dropped slightly "oh well I'm not sure if I'm staying there yet." Katsuki eyed her as his mom continued "oh why is that dear?"

Y/n glanced at katsuki with a worried look and he furrowed his brows at his mom "drop it mom" she was surprised at his serious tone and formality, turning to y/n "I'm sorry if I overstepped, I'm just thrilled to finally have a daughter in law and want to get to know you since katsuki here is a damn closed vault."

Y/n chuckled "oh it's alright, maybe I'll come help in the kitchen while I'm here so we can get to know each other." His mom picked up her empty bowl carrying it to the kitchen sink "I would love that"

They were all finished with their food and y/n's face lit up "oh before I forget, do you have any photo albums of katsuki by any chance?" The sly smile crawled onto her face as katsuki narrowed his eyes.

Mitsuki sent a toothy smile to the girl "of course, I have so many let me go grab them!" Masaru quietly got up "I'll be in my office if you kids need anything."

Katsuki led y/n to the living room and plunked down on the couch. Y/n giggled at his brooding "don't worry kat I'll make it up to you later" he grunted and pulled out his phone as his mom carried a stack of photo albums to the coffee table, sitting next to y/n.

      Y/n grinned down as Mitsuki specifically grabbed the oldest one "this one is from when he was a baby" she flipped open to the first page and y/n smiled down at a surprisingly angry blonde baby "awww kat you haven't changed a bit!" He scoffed narrowing his eyes at the sight of his mom and girlfriend giggling at photos of him.

      He flicked his eyes back down to his phone letting them be, knowing later he was going to prove to her just how much he wasn't so cute and adorable.
