4: ARIES EYES

ARIES:

Humans.

Why did Gemini want to tiptoe around their feelings? They are allowed to question her leadership? She needs to strike fear in their eyes to keep them in line, no ruler I've ever met would let that slide. She should be using them to rebuild this wasteland, not her own hands.

Ever since arriving I have questioned every move she has made, her fighting skills are somewhat Starzithian but it made sense, they taught her to only use one star when fighting. The second she raised her hand, it should have striked me to the middle of the planet. The missed days of not feeling her full power saddened me. Growing up on Veedu, I heard stories of some of our old fighting days from other Zodiacs.

Pisces being so intune with her feelings shared in such detail the times we would return to Veedu, reborn and ready to serve. Gemini's long icy white braids would flow around her like water, her white eyelashes tipped in pink from her eyes, her graceful walk and her smile giving anyone who looked upon it... hope.

Gemini would bring hope that Starzithians had new species to train, test and employ for their bigger plan. We would walk side by side and even brush hands that apparently left me entranced. We would keep our relationship a secret even though everyone knew Gemini just wanted to show she was in charge and didn't need me as a crutch. Apparently I let her, I let her do whatever she wanted if it meant seeing her smile. Pisces told me we would sneak off during the feasts to drink on the roof and watch the stars, Gemini would point to each one and give them new names, ones she would prefer.

..and then her smile became pressed lips in a fine line.

The more we conquered, the more Gemini wanted to destroy. Instead of giving planets a chance to start new under our rule, she would think of ways to slaughter them. Each time we came back to Veedu, she had already made up her mind before seeing another planet, she wouldn't stand tall.

She would stare at her feet when she walked, she didn't want to make eye contact with anyone welcoming her home. Gemini knew every time she carried out her decision to destroy, she would supernova and fade into the darkness of space... Pisces says it was like she wanted to die, damning her own soul.

Before Gemini's dark days, she lived almost five eons of not being reborn, five eons of collecting and saving planets for Vyx. Her and I conquered more than half of the galaxy at one point. We lived a thrillish lifestyle of ruling alongside each other, we would teach new species. We would show them how great their lives would be under our rule, no more overpopulation, no more fighting over housing and no more empty bellies. A perfect utopia they all get to move to... 'The Planets of Paradise.' Is what Vyx called the home of the new residents.

..and then Pisces got real quiet and looked around for anyone spying on us, she whispered to me that she believes Gemini's smile started to fade when some of her friends didn't return home. A few Starzithians disappeared one day after checking in on some of the ruled planets. A group came together to destroy them, calling Starzithians.. Solar Destroyers. That we are a race that devours everything in our path.. And Gemini was the reason. She came in contact with one on a planet named Silo, it had a Starzithian named Yu-so wrapped in chains, trying to drain his star. They explained to Gemini that she is the reason the galaxy was dying and to go see what Vyx is really doing to the planets she 'saved' in the Planets of Paradise.

No one was allowed to go to those planets except Vyx and her trusted council.

Whatever Gemini saw that day.. Made her want to die and every planet she came in contact with.

For Gemini to want these humans to live, to stick her neck out confused me. Vyx gets whatever she wants, if Gemini had remembered even a glimpse of Vyx's rules, she would not go against her. These humans don't stand a chance.
