GEMINI:
I heave my upper body up and gasp as Pollux makes room for herself,
"Dammit, Pollux! Let me rest!" I shout to her but she just growls from the back of my mind,
'Get your ass up and get Hades pitchfork, we leave now.'
I feel a jolt of energy and I spring from the bed, Pollux trying to take over my limbs to get me to move.
'Pollux, I will not move. The God's grow tired of my existence.'
And it was true, no God wanted to fight alongside me even if it was for the greater good.
'There are three people on Olympus who rely on us.. On you. Now make your way back to them.'
'This is absolutely insane.' I whisper to her as I tiptoe out of the room. If the Greeks won't help us because we are monsters, was being a thief really out of the ordinary for the image they had of us in their heads?
Pollux tells me to look in his studies first but no such luck. I swiftly walk to the next room, peering in and seeing Zeus fast asleep in his chambers. I was really hoping for Hades to be the one sleeping, Zeus would be a lesser evil option to escape from. I probably could have convinced him to come back to Olympus but Hades has one rule about the Underworld.. No one can cheat death, not even his brothers.
I hear shuffling in the kitchen and see Hades leaning over the kitchen island and taking bites off a ruby red apple. The book in his hand had me confused... The book was writing itself with every page he flipped. The words appear line by line of everything I have done in this life. Instead of memory sharing or magic crystal balls to see the history of me, he was reading it. How?
I see a red hued stream of power glowing off the book and trailing all the way into his studies. No wonder Pollux couldn't find anything about weapons here. His studies were full of books that told the tales of different God's lifes. Mine is now being added to the collection. I couldn't help myself, so I walked into the kitchen.
"You're reading the part of my life where Hercules and I escaped Paradise." My voice didn't startle him, I don't think anything could. He just nods his head slowly, "You really do hate your masters." He mocked and I turned my nose up at him, "They are not my masters and second.. I do not hate anyone. I definitely despise them but some are just brainwashed by Vyx." I explained and he still didn't look up from the book, flipping page after page of my life. It felt.. Wrong, like my naked body was splayed for him to read.
He chuckled a bit, "You let Hercules punch that Zodiac Sage?"
For once I laughed a little bit at Hades' words, "Better than him slaughtering the man in front of all of us."
He grows quiet as he reaches the end, "What is your plan since my Army of Dead is no longer an option in your mind? ...Steal my pitchfork?"
I gulp, "Yes. Any plan is better than no plan at all."
He leans up from the island, grabbing his pitchfork and twirling it in his hands.
"That was your twin's idea, yeah?"
I nod my head to him and he grins, "I can tell she is a handful."
Again I nod but this time a lot quicker.
"She calls herself Pollux, the name of Zeus' dead child. Even with a level head, I don't think Zeus would have changed his action to strike you down."
...Also right.
I straighten my back, "I would have killed Zeus either way then."
Those bolts of pure godly energy had made that band snap, showing me what happens if I were that powerful all the time... I was deadly.
