I heard the voice a little less the next couple of days, like Gemini had gotten in a fight with it and refused to summon it for a while as time went on. After the third day I heard it every time Aries left the house, whenever Gemini was alone I would hear her talk to it, get to know it and even.. Laugh with it.

I wanted to tell Aries but I'm afraid if he doesn't listen, that demonic thing would unlatch the door and silence me itself. I tried talking to Gemini but she ignored my calls every time I reached out to her, looking down at the ground and avoiding all eye contact from that slat.

I sit by the door again, hearing Aries go back to the compound. Apparently they are making headway on their plan for Vyx and he brings every bit of information back to Gemini for her to decide, she still is not in the right headspace to confront Scorpz or Sage. Last month she said she would stand in front of them against me and now she lets out side remarks like,

"Failed experiment."

"Pitiful God's."

"Fear mongering asshole."

Has she thought over my side of the story? Secretly hating their decisions as well?

I side eye the slat and see her standing in the living room, focusing on the front door, like she was putting herself in a trance.

"Could I have at least a book for entertainment today?" I requested through the slat and she ignored my voice, focusing on that door.

"Gemini!" I shout, I wanted one thing to occupy my time today.

She twitches, dropping her gaze from the door and looking over to the slat. Once our eyes meet, she goes to flee from my sight.

"Gemini, Please! One book! I am dying here without any contact! A book will keep me sane this week!" I plead to her and I hear her steps stop.

I go on, "Just one book... Please don't treat me like how they treated you on this planet. I know you would never wish this for anyone to be trapped and left all alone."

I can feel the guilt she now has lumping in her stomach like a hot rock, please see this is not a trick. I hear her feet start to move towards the bottom of the stairs and I hold my breath hoping she will climb up them. She debates it for a good thirty seconds and then sighs, leaving the stairs and retreating back to the back door, ignoring all of my shouts back to her. She couldn't even look at me anymore, did she only see a monster?

I let out a long exhale and stare down at my feet, I'll probably be doing that for the next few hours.

"Searching for Ocean."

Eden? The AI speaks throughout the room.

"I have found six hundred and eighty two videos of Ocean in the Knox file Aquatic Planets. Would you like me to play the first one?"

"Yes, thank you Eden." I hear Gemini's voice from the bottom of the stairs as she commands it with her voice, mine was blocked from Eden answering it.

I stand up as the video projects throughout the room of the videos her family has collected over the years, studying the different planets they thought they could help the humans escape to. Tears brim my eyes as I see all the aquatic life thriving, the forgotten powers and soul I had left at the bottom of the Ocean. Vyx put me on the driest planet so tucked away that my father would never find me, wanting me to live out my days far from ever getting to her throne... Just like Gemini, my sweet Gem. The one who sacrificed herself for us in that Sun and loved me through every nightmare I had given her. Through all the darkness, she still held a small glow for me, to make sure I never felt alone.

The video shows waves crashing in front of me and I fall to my knees, tears of happiness as I see the places I could dive into if I ever got the chance. I see everything I could have if we destroyed Vyx, the one who held our lives in her hands... and I could not see her brain smashed on the ground by just my hand, I needed every God's help to take her down.. Including her brainwashed Zodiacs who were just as terrified of her as my people were seeing Sage on Olympus.
