Chapter 34: Working Parents

Jimin's cries cause his parents to jump out of their bed and rush to his crib. The omega pup looks up at his parents in pain as he cries for them.

"I will get his cold ring." Jungkook rushes to the refrigerator and pulls out one of the toys they placed in the refrigerator. "Here." He hands his mate the toy once he returns to the nursery.

"Little Moonbeam, it is okay." Taehyung hums and rocks the crying four-month-old pup in his arms.

Jimin's cries subside as he chews on the cold toy. He sniffles and looks up into his mother's eyes as Taehyung gently rocks him.

"Hyung, you have to get up in two hours. How about you go back to sleep?" Taehyung suggests as he looks at his worried mate.

"I'll be okay. I can nap between sets." Jungkook responds and wraps his arms around his mate. "You are tired as well. You have to get up early to open your store." He mumbles and kisses his mate's shoulder.

"But I don't have to get up as early as you." Taehyung pouts as his mate softly sways with him, wrapped in his arms.

"I will not be here to help you get the pups ready for the day. How am I supposed to sleep knowing that my mate will have a lot to handle alone?" Jungkook softly asks and pecks his mate's cheek.

"You are a very sweet alpha." Taehyung smiles and leans into his mate's embrace.

"Moon okay?" Hoseok asks as he sleepily sits up.

"Even Sunshine is so exhausted he did not hear Moonbeam screaming." Jungkook chuckles and walks over to his sleepy pup. "Moon is okay. Go back to sleep." Jungkook gently has Hoseok lie back down.

"Moon." Hoseok sleepily mutters as he falls asleep.

"Such a good pup," Jungkook whispers and kisses Hoseok's forehead.

"Moon is finally asleep," Taehyung mutters and lays Jimin in his crib.

"I will go and put his ring back in the refrigerator." Jungkook takes the ring and sleepily walks back to the kitchen.

By the time Jungkook returns to the bedroom, Taehyung is sleepily waiting for him in their bed. "Pup, you should have gone to sleep already." Jungkook softly tells his mate as he lies down next to Taehyung.

"I was waiting for you." Taehyung sleepily mumbles and snuggles against his mate.

When Jungkook's alarm goes off, the alpha is quick to turn off his alarm. He stays in bed for a few minutes and watches as his mate sleeps in his arms. After a few moments, Jungkook kisses Taehyung's forehead and carefully slips out of their bed. When Taehyung whines and misses his presence, Jungkook slides his pillow into Taehyung's embrace. The alpha coos when his omega happily hums as he hugs his pillow.

Jungkook is careful to get dressed and ready for the day without waking his mate up. Once the alpha is ready to go, he walks over to his mate and gently kisses him on the forehead. "Pup, I am leaving." The alpha softly whispers to his mate.

"Is it time?" Taehyung sleepily asks as his eyes flutter open.

"Yes." Jungkook hums and sits next to his mate.

"Be safe going to set. I love you." Taehyung smiles as he snuggles closer to his mate.

"I love you too." Jungkook lovingly smiles and presses a kiss on his mate's forehead, then leaves.

After Jungkook leaves, Taehyung's day becomes beyond hectic. Jimin wakes up screaming from the pain of teething, so Taehyung races to the nursery with a cold chew ring to soothe Jimin's pain. Once Jimin is swaddled against Taehyung's chest, he rushes around their home, getting himself and Hoseok ready for the day.
