Her arms slackened around him as warmth blossomed within her chest, urging her to wear a more serene expression. Y/N tilted her head, not saying a word as Saros raised his face above hers, his gaze infused with patience and honesty as he waited for the words he spoke to settle into her ear. For a long while, they remained locked in each other's stare. The villain could feel his heart pounding. All giggling from before had ceased, and what replaced the joyous sounds was something serious, yet heartfelt.

There was no unbearable tension in the silence as the woman thought about what to say, steadily getting over the shock. He admired her eyes in the meantime, how they sparkled in the sunlight and how softly they met his. Only she has ever looked at him that way, and it only strengthened his reasonings. Amongst his jewels and money, she was priceless and more beautiful than any work of art he had ripped off of a museum wall, more interesting than any book on his shelf and even more amusing. His heart leapt with anticipation as her lips at last parted to speak his name in a tender tone that melted his icy core.

"Saros, that's... Do you—" She meant to ask if he was sincere, that it was no exaggeration or joke, but the look he wore was more than enough proof for her to know it was real. Unfortunately, she had to cut herself short at the sound of a deep knock on their bedroom door. The sudden pounding caused both of them to jump as all traces of tranquillity dropped from the man's face, replacing it with an irritated scowl. Saros groaned and reluctantly got up to answer the door, debating if it would be too scaring for Y/N if he threw the nuisance out the window. Why did they have to interrupt him now of all times? This better be good, he thought as Y/N sat up, watching curiously as he practically ripped the door off its hinges to open it. The heat of his glare burned into the soul of one of his minions. The man in the hallway jumped back with a frantic look on his face and before Saros could have the chance to chew him out, he was rambling apologies.

"Sorry to interrupt your downtime, Sir, but a fight broke out in the lounge downstairs, and it's getting severely out of hand," he sputters out with urgency, ready to break into a nervous sweat in the presence of his boss. Saros' eyebrow gave an angry twitch in response.

"Can't you idiots behave like fucking adults?! What do I look like, a babysitter?! Do it yourself!"

"I and a few others have already tried to break it up, Sir, but it's turned into an all out war down there! Some of them have even shot off guns. Your powers are needed just to separate them."

"For fucks sake." With one hand pinching the bridge of his nose, Saros flicked the other in the direction of the elevator. "Fine, I'm coming. Just give me a second." Nodding and breathing a sigh of relief, his minion turned and walked to the end of the hall, waiting on Saros to join him near the elevator.

"Saros?" Y/N spoke up anxiously as he faced her with a serious look, an act for his underling, who could still see and hear them.

"I'll be back in a bit. I need to deal with this mess. Just stay clear of the lower floors in the meantime."

"Be safe," she whispers, nodding in understanding. Saros suppressed a smile, nodding back at her before shutting the door and heading down into battle. Those responsible for this fight would face his wrath. They had ruined a perfectly good moment. Y/N also couldn't help feeling disappointed that he had to leave, but considering the circumstances, she'd rather he take care of the problem before anyone gets hurt. A chill ran through her, knowing everyone at play would likely be severely punished, but what could she really do about it? Sighing, she leaned her head back against the window with a light thunk. He really knew how to get her flustered. It was almost infuriating how easy it was.

"What am I doing?" She whispers to herself, rubbing at her head and shutting her eyes before bending forward over her knees. "This is crazy. I'm crazy! This whole thing is crazy. Everything is moving too fast." Certainly, it was. It was always a battle whenever she was reminded of her feelings towards the villain. Does she enjoy his company? Of course. Does she adore the flirting? Obviously. Even the odd parts of his form were so charming to her. In any other case, she might've leapt into danger, but as a few moments ago reminded her, he is a villain. A villain with a temper, at that, who isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty, even over the most trivial things. Getting up, she began to pace to get the jitters out and sort out her thoughts once and for all.

"So, you like him, fine, but you need to slow down, or you'll get caught in the moment and end up letting out something you're not ready to admit because it's too damn soon and you have yet to weigh out all the important things. Saros, bad guy. Villain. Murderer. Chill damn it. Chill!" Wandering to the bed, she fell upon the mattress of the bottom bunk and groaned into the covers. After calming down, she turns her face to the side before she could suffocate and admits defeat. "This is ridiculous. I know how I feel about him. None of those facts are getting in the way at all like I thought they would. It all just seems like too big of a commitment at the moment. What would happen if I told him?" Rolling onto her back, Y/N stared up at the top bunk. She remembered her first days in this room, how frightened she was to be in the same room as him. Things ended up so differently.

"It really seems like he might feel the same, so it's not like I think he'd laugh at me. I just can't tell if this is the right thing to do or not. What if I end up regretting it later? What if I hurt him or he hurts me? What if I make him angry one day and he decides to blow my head up? Although, that is the risk I took coming to live here in the first place, and I accepted that, didn't I?" That's right, she accepted all consequences already so would having a relationship actually be any different? Would the stakes somehow raise? If anything, she might get her heart broken or make things awkward between them, and yet, her heart was screaming yes against her brain's better judgment yet again.

Saros made her feel warm inside to the point she's begun craving it, desiring to get closer, though he is so dangerous. He's like a fire in that sense. His warmth is alluring, but his chaotic nature might lead to burns if she isn't cautious. For some reason, she enjoyed that thrill. She knew it would lead to trouble, and yet, he was all she could think about. How he holds her, how they talk with one another, how he embraces every part of her with a smirk on his face. It was as though they knew each other long before they actually met. She couldn't think of a time she felt this strongly about anyone before even though she did have a few partners in the past. They never supplied the same rush. There was no comparison. Next to him they all seemed mediocre. The adrenaline rush held such a powerful pull. It's no wonder there's that saying of, "love is blind". No matter how much she tried to reason with herself, she would always end up drawn to him.

"I think I know what to do now." She sighs deeply before chuckling to herself. "Thank you for listening, invisible therapist." Y/N smiled warmly with her hands bound over her heart. Its beats were so fast. "I'll see if I can persuade him into one date...

But maybe just a test one to be safe."
