"What are you all dressed up for?" Saros asks first-thing when he walks into the room after a long day. Y/N was seated on the bench, back to the window, staring at her phone, not looking thrilled in the slightest. Saturday had finally come— Too soon for her tastes, but it is here, and she's now faced with it. Having looked up the place Herald was talking about, she found out it was an upscale restaurant with a dress code, so she slipped into one of her nicer outfits.

It wasn't anything flashy or fancy, but it suited her well. A fluffy, white sweater to start, tucked into a black, high-waisted skirt that feels plush and soft and reaches down to above the knee. Her legs are covered in tights, and heels that match her skirt lay to the side of her feet, not put on yet. Her hair was done nicely, as was her makeup, but that was hardly anything out of the ordinary. In each ear dangles a gold, hoop earring as a pretty, gold chain sat around her neck, sparkling under the light.

There is also a folded, black jacket at her hip, waiting to be put on, with golden buttons that match the ones going up the top sides of her skirt with her purse resting on top. Y/N sighs and puts down her phone. She was hoping to leave before he had come back, wanting to keep this dinner a secret for obvious reasons. Him showing up so suddenly like this made her stomach flip.

"Just some stupid date my friend set me up on. I wouldn't even consider it a date. A reluctant dinner would be more like it." Just slightly, his lips fell into an unnoticeable frown as she set her phone down. Unknowingly, she had caused his heart to ache, but he didn't let that show too well on his face.

"Oh... Well, then don't go if it's stupid." Having caught a glimpse of the emotions in his tone, Y/N found that her heart had also tugged a bit in her chest, but she didn't bring it up.

"I would love to. Believe me, I'd rather stay here and read, but I promised I'd go, and I'm not one to bail out on someone." Groaning, she lies back across the bench, frustration evident on her face, which did make him feel a little more hopeful. She was being truthful, and it boosted his ego a bit, knowing she'd rather stay home with him, but it seemed she was still set on going. Smirking as a brilliant idea came to his villainous brain, Saros approached the woman who wore an arm over her face and gave a very tempting offer.

"Would you like me to crash it?" Lifting her arm, she met his icy optics in surprise before laughing and smiling.

"Now, that'd make for a better evening for sure." Unfortunately, though, her smile shifted to a sad one. "But maybe some other time. I just want to get this over with, or else I'll never hear the end of it. I promise you'll be the first I call on a bad date." Once more, she had accidentally struck his heart a second time, but he held his tongue as she stood up with an exasperated sigh. "Wish me luck."
