The morning was relatively quiet as Y/N poured herself a cup of coffee and popped some bread into the toaster. When it finished, she coated the toast in butter and jam before taking a bite of her breakfast. Everything was calm until there was a sudden slam that came from the flat next door. It was as though the door had been thrown open with the force of a thousand men. The sound was so unexpected and loud that it caused the woman to jump a considerable amount and drop her toast on the floor.

'What the heck was that?' Immediately, she was filled with concern, worried that Ms. Hammiche might've fallen and hurt herself, so she hurries out into the hall to check. Y/N was surprised to find the old woman's door wide open, and she could hear voices coming from inside the flat that made her heart pound anxiously.

"P- P- Please!"

"I told you to shut it!" E/C orbs grow wide at the familiar sound of Saros' frightening voice, which was followed by a loud thud. Y/N races over and is mortified when she sees the villain standing over her neighbor, who's on the floor, with a gun aimed directly at her head. Ms. Hammiche couldn't seem to pick herself up, feeling a slight ache in her arm from when the man had tossed her, and all she could do was stare down the barrel of the gun with teary eyes, afraid that today might be the day she dies. Y/N's will to act was quicker than her mind, throwing herself right in the middle off the two to shield her neighbor from the danger. Caught off guard by the intrusion, Saros took a small step back with widened eyes, yet the gun remains raised as the younger woman gives him a pleading look.

"Saros, lower the gun," she orders in a wavering, yet calm voice, but he doesn't obey, only hardens his gaze.

"Move aside, Y/N." He lightly waves the gun, weary of the trigger as he didn't wish to accidentally shoot her, to gesture her to get out of the way. The weapon was quickly brought back into place afterwards.

"I won't." Her hands shook as she drew her neighbor into her arms to hug her tightly. The older woman whimpers as her tears stain the younger's shirt, her eyes unable to tear away from the murderous look set in the villain's eyes.

"She saw me here! Do you not realize the risk she causes us?" Honestly, he could care less about being spotted. The problem was that he was seen with Y/N, and he didn't want to anyone to know about her affiliation with him, especially this early on. The woman had made it clear that she didn't want to be a part of his villainous crew when she agreed to move in with him, but that would make no difference to the police or media. Saros didn't want her to have to hide her face wherever she went, and he certainly didn't want people coming after her, which would most definitely happen if this information got out.
