Author's POV:

Tired, frustrated, pissed off, ready to throw someone's head through a wall, Saros slammed his fist against the elevator button to go up to his room's floor, ready to call it a day after hours of of dealing with the rat problem, the lazy security guard and several acts of incompetence from his underlings. There were days he just wished to go at it alone and blow the whole building up with everyone inside, but having henchmen has its perks as well as its downsides. They should be grateful he recognized that.
Today was proving to be even more troublesome when he remembered he left his new prisoner locked in his bedroom. Worse yet, he had forgotten to order someone to clean the cell she was meant to be kept in. She might have to stay the night. Wonderful. Just what he needed right now.
Maybe I can stick her in a broom closet? The idea was tempting, and he kept it in the back of his mind if she planned to disturb his downtime. Keeping her in check would be easy, but he was exhausted enough as it is. After unlocking the door with his abilities, Saros closes himself inside before scanning the room for his new pawn, but was confused when he didn't immediately see her. Panic set in. Did she get out? Blood boiling, he was about to put out an alert to the whole complex when he suddenly heard a small groan from the bottom bunk of the bed. Saros froze and turned his head.
Stepping closer, the villain ducked his head to peer through the opening between the shelves and sure enough the woman was there, fast asleep with an open book in her hand. Saros narrowed his eyes at her.
'What part of don't touch anything does she not understand?' Reaching in, he takes the book from her hand and looks over the title she chose. A soft hum of approval left him before he slid the book back into place on the shelf amongst the other stolen stories he had collected over the years. His fingers traced the spines until they reached the book he's been reading lately, pulling the hardcover from the shelf before climbing up to the top bunk where he usually sleeps. He opens the book to where it was marked with a book light before waving his hand to turn off the big light.
He made himself comfortable, setting a few pillows behind his back and glancing out the window, where the lingering pink of the sunset slowly crept away in the distance to give way to night. He really had been out all day. No wonder he felt drained. Tugging at the collar of his sweater, Saros made the decision to just take it off and set it aside on the bed, feeling a bit warm. Once he was settled in, he turned on the little book light and began to read, feeling at ease. At last, he had a moment to himself.
Almost thirty into Saros' reading, Y/N began to stir awake, feeling confused when she saw how dark the room had become. Did she really sleep so long? Her hand felt around for the book she was reading only to not feel it anywhere close to her. Now wide awake and panicked, she lifted the covers and a few of the clothes on the bed to look for it, but the book was nowhere to be seen.
'Oh, no! Where did it go? Saros is going to kill me!'
"Stop making so much noise." Y/N almost screamed when she heard his snappy voice from above, instinctively jolting up and hitting her head on the top bunk.
"Ouch!" She yelped and grabbed the top of her head in pain, hissing and rubbing the spot, hoping it wouldn't bruise. A light chuckle sounded from her captor, and she couldn't help but glare at him through the bottom of the top bed.
