Author's POV:

An evil laugh breaks through the tension in the air as Saros' eyes gaze upon the hero before him. Herald struggles to catch his breath, panting heavily while hunched over like an old man with a backache. His exhaustion would be expected, considering how fast he had to run to undo what the villain had done to the building they stand upon, but the sight was one of the most amusing things Saros had seen all week. Obviously, he expected the male to make it in time, as usual. After all, he only taunts the hero for fun, pushing the man's limits for his own entertainment.

"Getting out of shape, are we? Perhaps you should invest in a gym," he suggests with a mocking grin that causes Herald to glare in hate. All Saros ever does is cause him and the city trouble. How could he not grow to hate him?

"Shut it, you," he demands, not particularly in a good mood. Momentarily, his eyes dart over to the seemingly helpless hostage behind his nemesis. All he could see is a frightened victim, tremblingly greatly with a look in her eyes that tells him she wishes to be safe once more, and, due to her unruly appearance, he could only assume that Saros had kept her in his custody for quite awhile. He will help her and save her from this menace. Saros cannot win... At least, that was his take on the situation.

"Well, if you want her," the villain's voice brings his attention back to the mastermind behind this ploy, who stands between him and the shaking damsel in distress, blocking her from his view. Instinctively, Herald's hands clench tightly in preparation to fight, turning his knuckles white.

"Then come and get her," he finishes with a low, frightening growl in his tone that sends a cold shiver down the spines of the two present. A smirk grows on the blue-eyed male's lips as the disarmed bombs held in the hero's hands are gently set down someplace where they'll be out of the way. Immediately after, he charges at Saros, who stands in place with a grin still existent on his lips. A fist is thrown at his unusual face, and he gives a dark, yet highly amused, chuckle when he uses his telekinesis to stop the hand inches from his nose.

"A little off your game today, eh, hero?" He taunts with sass, filling Herald with confusion. Today, Saros plans to step it up a notch in order to spice things up. Of course he could defeat Herald, kill him even if he wants to, but what fun would that be? To him, the man is nothing but a toy to keep him on his toes and make things interesting.

With Herald bewildered by the quick reaction, Saros is able to kick the man hard enough in the stomach to send him flying back quite a ways. He finds his footing quickly before he can fall onto his back and shouts in anger as he runs at the villain once again. This time, he steps out of the way in attempts to get the hero from behind, but this is a move Herald had seen many times in the past, so, with swift movements, he turns his heel and punches Saros square in the chest. Caught off guard by the different response, he had no way to prepare himself. He flies back much farther than Herald had, crashing into the large antenna with a bit of saliva shooting from his mouth upon impact.

With the air knocked out of his lungs, he could only cough violently as he fell to his knees and struggled to breathe. E/C eyes grow wide with worry upon witnessing blood spurting from her captor's pink lips. The man had bit his tongue when his back hit the metal rod, causing the crimson substance to fill his mouth. Y/N couldn't help but feel concerned for the villain. That had been a hard blow and would most definitely cause some sort of back damage. Her attention doesn't stay on him long, however, for Herald makes his way over to her with a warm, comforting smile that would make anyone's heart flutter. It did little for her, though, since she knows he must've given that smile to countless other people. To him, she is just another citizen in need of saving, nothing more, nothing less. The man bends down to reach her seated height and speaks to her softly to keep her calm.
