I'm just a man in a world of thieves,
looking for instant gratification
in the vices they seek.
Some form of vindication,
for the words that we speak.
I'm just a man in a world of liars,
setting the example
that dishonesty is the new raging fire.
This here is but a sample
for what is about to grow higher.
Just a person trying my hardest,
my best to respect you
and justify your reasons at best.
Maybe it's best if I never met you,
even if my skin is the toughest.
Just someone trying to evolve
in a pool so stagnant
and not used to the word resolve.
This is the problem in remnants
trying so hard to solve.
