"Here we go..."
Annabeth blinked as she walked out of the bathroom, looking over at the currently occupied desk chair with her brows slightly scrunched.
She rolled her eyes. "You can't possibly be planning on sleeping in that? "
Percy shot her a wild grin. "What else would I sleep in?"
Annabeth smiled, slightly rolling her eyes as she ignored him and turned to grab her conditioner out of her bag, knowing she'd be thankful for taking the time to put it in when wash day came around.
She cursed her overactive mind that whispered, "sleep in bed with me" and glared out the window, thinking up as many curses as she could towards Hera as she did so.
"You okay?" Percy
"You okay?" Percy asked, perking up from where he was situated in his seat.
At this angle, Annabeth could see his stomach ripple, abs showing from where they were usually hidden since his stomach taunt and looking ever so delectable.
"I'm fine," Annabeth huffed, only daring to lick her lips after she had turned away from the heat of his inquisitive gaze.
Seven days.
A full week.
That's how long Annabeth had been dealing with, what she's affectionately dubbed, The Situation.
The situation being Percy and her sharing a hotel room. Together. Alone. With only a small queen bed in the middle, a desk stuffed to the side along with a torn-up chair to accompany it and a television they couldn't even use.
In all honesty, it resembled more of a motel room than anything. A fact that has made Annabeth scrunch her nose in disgust more than a few times throughout their stay.
And yes, though she's questioned it multiple times, Percy refused to sleep in the bed, stating it was only right to give her the bed and sleep in the desk chair.
But just a few hours before, they'd been fighting and slashing through a hoard of monsters she considered more nuisances than anything. And Percy, in his whirlwind of a fight, had gotten himself slashed more than a few dozen times.
Nothing to worry about too much, that was true, especially since he took care of all his wound in the shower, the water healing him, but she saw the way he walked back to the hotel and out from the bathroom after he had taken his shower.
He was sore, and Annabeth knew forcing himself to sleep in that disgusting chair was only going to make him worse off.
So really, it was only logical for her to push for him to get in the bed.
At least for one night.
She sighed. "It's not good to sleep in that thing."
Percy snorted, nodding along. "Probably not."
"Just-" she sighed. "Sleep in the bed. You need to be at your best tomorrow."
"I'll be fine-"
"You could be better," she argued, not wanting to back down from this. She had allowed him to sleep in that chair because of her own reservations for sharing a bed with him, but no longer could she let that hold herself back from forcing him to sleep in an actual bed.
Percy huffed, though he kept his mouth shut, looking between Annabeth and the bed and back to her again.
He eyed her, in a way that startled Annabeth because, for once, she couldn't clearly guess what he was thinking. But the moment passed quickly, and with a reluctant nod, Percy stood from the chair, arms stretching above his head.
