Friday came all too soon; Annabeth had prepared her house to accommodate the small party coming in less than an hour. Her practice had left her sore and tired. Coach Reina had made her rehearse her choreography so many times her head hurt from spinning. Annabeth's grey eyes still mustered the energy to smile through the pain.

"Do you need me to do anything?" Hazel asked with a hopeful stare. The girl had arrived early as an excuse for her strict parents. They couldn't grasp the concept of a party starting later than 7. The bubbly girl was softly dropping her bag in the entrance hallway.

"No need, would you like something to drink?" the blonde asked turning her phone off to show her around the house. She might have been the second house to host usually, but that didn't mean her friends were used to coming over. Annabeth had found early ways to get away with inviting one or two people.

"I can grab something thanks" The smaller creature replied grinning.

Adjusting the terrace set up, Annabeth didn't know what to expect tonight. Their gang was supposedly there for a horror movie and a sleepover. Though, with their summer schedules filled with wild parties, the blonde half expected the night to finish with rows of empty bottles on her countertops. Annabeth heard the roaring of the next car coming in her alleyway. Clarisse's Range Rover was driven by her brother Matt. He was probably staying over the weekend at her parent's house.

"I am counting on you to keep her in check" Matt declared when the gym rat got out of the car. Clarisse's brother was three years older than the blonde and had been enrolled at NYU.

"Chase girls your own age Matt" Clarisse muttered slamming the door on his name. He winked at the host and made the engine vroom. Clarisse greeted Annabeth in a tight embrace. "I brought five horror movies, are you ready to piss your pants?" She laughed and walked to the door to join Hazel. Annabeth's wasn't scared easily, she rarely flinched at gruesome scenes or complained about the amount of gore. If anything, it was thrilling.

"I don't think my heart can handle more than one" Hazel excused herself to the bathroom in a quiet voice. The poor girl was already traumatized, and the night hadn't started yet.

"Let's go" Annabeth gestured to the screening room once the curly brunette features softened. Henry Chase had invested in a large home cinema. The girls walked down the stairs in the dark corridor leading to the beige room. The blonde wasn't used to walking past these walls. They were estranged parts of her void.

The room in question was large enough to sit two full families. A projector was hidden on the back wall, the corner hosted a counter with expired candy and a popcorn machine. Annabeth counted on one hand the number of times she had used the place.

Whilst waiting for the others to come, Annabeth moved a few pillows and blankets into the room. The usual carpet in these types of room had been the first thing Annabeth had asked her father not to add. Opening back the door with a mountain of plushy comfort in her arms, Annabeth found her two friends enjoying the luxuries of the room.

"I can now die in peace" Clarisse joked laying on the large beige couch. Her sight and giggle made Annabeth regret not inviting her friends over more often.

"Are you sure you don't mind?" Hazel asked the blonde removing her socks to push her feet into a crack.

"Mi casa es tu casa" Annabeth responded. She dropped her clouds on a couch module and adjusted them to accommodate anyone.

A bell rang. Someone else had arrived. Rachel entered the house as Annabeth got up the stairs. She knew Annabeth never left her door unlocked.

"I brought Rhum!" The redhead shouted in a rally chant. Annabeth's ears got overwhelmed with Clarisse's roars from the basement, Hazel squeaked in shock, decidedly hid behind the wide shouldered girl as they walked up the stairs to join the others.
