"Mommy, can I please go to the park with India? Her dad already said yes and he'll drop her off." Nolani asked as her and Zyaire sat at the table eating breakfast with their parents.
"Who gone be going with y'all?" Melody asked her daughter, biting into a piece of sausage.
"Um..." Nolani trailed off, pursing her lips.
"I'll drive you there if you find someone to go with you." Jaxon offered and Nolani sat up, trying to think of someone to go with her.
Zyaire just sat quietly, eating his breakfast slowly because when he was done it was going to be time for his medicine and machine so he was trying to drag it out.
"You can go if your brother goes." Melody said and Zyaire looked up.
"Momma, I really gotta go with her?" Zyaire frowned, wanting to just stay home all Saturday. He did not want to be bothered today.
"Mhm. If you don't go, Nono can't go." Melody finalized and Noalni immediately turned to her brother.
"Pleaseeee, Zyzy." She pouted and he sighed.
Nolani looked at him before leaning in and whispering in his ear.
"I'll text India to invite her sister to go so y'all can hang out." Nolani whispered and Zy quickly smiled at her words.
"This why you my favorite now." He dapped her up and she smiled. "Ok, I'll go."
"Yay, thank you." Nolani hugged her brother before getting up and putting her plate in the sink, rinsing it off.
"Y'all suspicious." Melody side-eyed them both and they laughed.
"Momma just think about how you finna be kid-free today. But don't be in here being grown." Zyaire said before pointing at his mother.
"Boy, I am grown, first of all. You better not be tryna be grown." Melody laughed, pointing at Zyaire.
"Mhm. Pops, can I drive?" Zyaire asked as Jaxon quickly made a face.
"You drive like you tryna somebody son. Where the hell you even learn to drive like that." Jaxon straight faced his son.
"You and momma..." He trailed off, making the same face back.
"Whatever nigga. Nono, what time you 'posed to be there?" Jaxon turned, asking Nolani as she was about to walk upstairs.
"We agreed on 1:30." Nolani lied, knowing they both said two.
She just had to change the time cause her dad always late taking her somewhere.
"Go get ready then cause you take forever." Melody nodded towards the stairs as Nolani laughed before running up the stairs.
