Kiya sat in her bed, trying not to fall asleep as she laid up and watched the new episode of Celebrity Squares.
She had been in bed all day, just laying around and not doing much. She always had such busy days/weeks so she was glad today she could just rest.
Plus, things had been feeling off all week.
Her and Zyaire had been okay but she could tell there was something deeper going on with him.
He had been wearing a mask all week, making less jokes than normal and just being quiet most of the day when Kiya saw him.
Plus, he kept disappearing after lunch for like thirty minutes and would never tell Kiya where he went.
Every time she asked him if he was okay and what was going on, he just brushed it off and said nothing was going on.
She was more worried than upset as she had no idea what was wrong with him.
Her phone ringing pulled her out of her thoughts, making her look down at her phone.
She read the caller ID and picked up her phone, answering the facetime.
"Hey boo." Nevaeh popped up, eating a bag of chips.
"Hey." Kiya greeted her quietly, yawning as she glanced up at her TV.
"You okay? What's wrong?" Nevaeh put down her chips, frowning as she could tell Kiya was a little off by her tone.
Kiya sighed, scratching her hair underneath her bonnet. She had just gotten some straight back braids and her head was killing her.
"Have you noticed Zyaire acting off all week? I don't want to seem overbearing or anything or like I'm overreacting but I'm worried about him." Kiya frowned and Nevaeh felt bad.
Kiya could see all over Nevaeh's face that she knew what was going on with Zyaire. She just didn't know if Nevaeh was going to be the one to tell her.
"Zy is...going through a lot right now. He gone tell you within time so just please be patient with him. But don't worry, he's gonna be okay." Nevaeh reassured Kiya without telling too much of what Zyaire had going on.
Kiya just sighed, laying back as her mind flooded with thoughts of what could possibly be wrong with him.
She just hoped he was going to be okay if anything.
Kiya was pulled out of her thoughts as her phone dinged, causing her to look down and see a new message from Zyaire.
"Hold on." She spoke, putting Nevaeh on pause as she read the message.
