Kiya typed away on her computer, finishing up an assignment as Zyaire sat beside her, laying his head on her shoulder and scrolling on his phone.

They both looked up when they heard footsteps coming towards them near the top of the bleachers.

"Y'all." Jacari spoke, sitting down in front of them as they both looked at him.

"Hi." Kiya waved as Zyaire nodded at him. "Happy birthday."

"Thank you." Jacari nodded as Kiya smiled back. "You gone come to my birthday?"

"What are you guys doing?" Kiya asked, tilting her head.

"My pops got us 2 private rooms at the bowling alley. Each room got two lanes so it's gone be us in one room and the boring adults in another." Jacari responded and Kiya nodded.

"Sure. I think my dad will be okay with me going." Kiya shrugged and Jacari nodded.

"Okay." He said before his eyes drifted over to a little down the bleachers. "You and ol girl ain't friends nomo?"

"Who?" Kiya made a face.

Her eyes drifted down to where Jacari was looking and she saw Yasmine sitting and laughing with Sarayah.

Kiya immediately scrunched her face up, wondering why they were sitting together.

Zyaire looked up too, following Kiya's eyes and saw who she was looking at before noticing the look on her face.

Sarayah had picked on Kiya for as long as she could remember. She called her all types of different names.

An airhead, a clout chaser, fake wannabe influencer, a fat ass nobody, etc. She even went out of her way to say that Kiya did stuff to her body at a young age just to get attention from multiple boys when that's not the case at all.

Kiya always got picked on for being curvier than other. She hated it because that's just how she was. Her body developed quicker and they made her hate it.

She was thankful her stepmom taught her to love her body and be comfortable in her own skin. She still felt insecure at times but it was nothing that she couldn't work through.

That's actually part of the reason Kiya started her YouTube channel.

Apart from always wanting to be a content creator, she wanted some sort of way to look back on how upset with her life she used to be.

She hated how her body looked, her hair, her natural face, everything about herself.

She still had her moments but her vlogging helped her glow up and grow through all of that.

She always reminds her subscribers and those around her that the first step anybody's glow up starts with as your internal glow up.

You can't physically glow up if you're in the wrong mindset. Once you get an amazing mindset and are emotionally ready, you'll be so surprised yet happy at the changes.
