sorry not sorry🤷🏾♀️
Date: March 22nd
Time: 10:17 am
Location: Empty Parking LotKiya and Zyaire both sat in Zyaire's car in the parking lot of an abandoned walmart, eating their breakfast from Hardee's.
They had Jayden with them and Kiya fed him small pieces of the bread on her biscuit.
She had her feet in Zyaire's lap as she had kicked her crocs off. He was rubbing her feet as they ate their breakfast.
"You straight?" Zyaire questioned, turning the music down a little bit.
"I'm fine." Kiya muttered quietly, looking up at him. "Are you okay?"
"Always straight witchu, mama." Zyaire smiled, leaning forward and pecking her cheek.
Kiya had been working through everything that had happened in therapy.
She started going back to school today and she was so scared. She did online for as long as she could but she had to go back eventually.
Zyaire decided to pick her up early and take her for breakfast before dropping Jayden back off.
Nothing was open except Hardee's so he chose to go there and take her to a calm quiet place.
He knew she needed some time to clear her head and Kiya was glad because this was EXACTLY what she needed before she went to school and had to face everyone again.
She barely even spoke to her friends after that day at Nevaeh's house.
Just a simple text saying she was fine and that was that. Other than that, she was holed up in her room, only seeing her family and Zyaire when they switched Jayden.
He tried his best to keep things as normal for her as possible but he could only do so much.
"How you feeling 'bout going back?" Zyaire asked, rubbing her ankle as he put his trash into the bag.
Kiya took a sip of her drink, swallowing before answering. "Scared."
"Talk to me, mama." Zyaire spoke, indicating for her to elaborate on what was running through her head.
"Everybody knows about...you know. And I don't know if I'm going to see Yasmine or Serayah but I have both first and second block with them." Kiya opened up.
She was trying to be more open with Zyaire instead of cutting him out.
She spoke with her therapist and she advised Kiya to try taking advantage of these moments when Zyaire asks about how she's feeling.
"Yo classes ain't change?" Zyaire scrunched his face up in confusion.
"No. I have the same classes year round." Kiya frowned, scratching her head as she looked at her boyfriend. "Everyone's going to be staring at me with so much pity, Zy. I just want to forget about everything."
