✿✧ Chapter Two ✧✿

My first day at Forks High School and I already feel like an outcast. I knew it would be hard to fit in at a small school, but I feel almost unwelcome. Not a single person has even tried to talk to me.

I walked into lunch with my head low. The crowded environment was overwhelming. I had no clue where to sit among the crowd. Luckily I spotted an empty table.

As I walked towards it, I wondered why it was empty. Other tables had up to 12 people at them, but they all seemed to avoid this one. Before I reached it, I heard someone say my name.

"Oxleigh, hey" a male voice said.

I turned around to see Emmet and a girl. I smiled at him and the girl. Before I could say hi back, he pulled me into a tight bear hug. My ribs ached at the pressure.

"Ok-ay, okay. Hi Emmet. Can you ease up please." I said with a choked voice.

"Oh, sorry." he said as he pulled back. "This is Caspen, my girlfriend."

"Hello, nice to meet you," I addressed the raven haired girl. "I actually prefer to be called Onyx"

"Great to see you alive after that hug, Onyx. Be prepared, it will happen again."

"Oh, come on. My hugs are awesome." Emmet smiled.

I laughed lightly and nodded. His girlfriend was extremely beautiful. She had black hair and golden brown eyes. Her style was 80s grunge/punk and it looked awesome on her.

"Well, I was just trying to find a table. I don't really know where to sit since people are avoiding me."

"You could sit with us."

"Emmet, you know Rosalie will make a fuss."

"Yes, but I don't care."

"Uh, sure." I replied.

Caspen grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the empty table. I gasped at the cold chill of her hand. Emmet followed behind us and put a hand on my back. I now noticed that his hand was ice cold too.

"Here take this seat." Caspen said as she pulled out a chair.

I happily sat down in the seat, politely nodding at Caspen. The chair was parallel to the window, so if it were sunny, the Sun would've been in my eyes. Good thing it's Forks.

"Thanks."

Emmet sat down next to me and Caspen sat beside him. I pulled my drawing book out of my bag, having a random urge to draw. I grabbed a pencil and began to setch something.

"So, is this table always this empty?" I asked Emmet.

"No, my siblings are just a bit late."

"Oh, alright"
