✿✧ Chapter Twenty-two ✧✿

If our plan was going to work then we needed to cover up the vampirism. Luckily I was gone long enough to explain most of the change. I wa in need of a tan, however. If I had Bella's completion it might not have been noticeable, but it was.

Alice was pleased at the chance of giving me a makeover. Rose was giggling as Alice pulled out stuff I didn't even know existed. I just say looking confused and letting her take over.

Tanner, colored contacts, foundation; you name it, She applied it. I felt odd in the attire but I did look human again. Alice definitely had an eye for this thing.

"You're incredible at this." I turned to Alice after a long look in the mirror.

"Thanks, I've had a lot of practice." Alice smirked.

"You don't have to remind me of our age gap Alice."

Alice an I smiled at each other in recognition of the joke. Rose had left a while earlier for a hunt. Of course all of us needed it, but it wasn't my priority given my current diet.

"Bella won't be home for another few hours so we still have time to hunt. Rose would probably appreciate the company too."

"Alright, but I can't guarantee I'll like it."

Hunting was enjoyable. I didn't even mind the change of prey. Both had just enough challenge to encourage me. What I didn't like, however, was the blood. It tasted like shit in comparison to human blood. I would have tossed it if Alice and Rose hadn't been looking at me with hopeful eyes.

"I'm guessing there's a few more downsides besides the taste," I questioned them on our way back.

"Yes, it's not as sustainable as human blood, so you're going to have less control. In fact, having human blood in your system might be a good idea considering your sister's sent."

"I didn't even think of that. Maybe we could slowly wing you off?" Alice started planning.

"I'll ask Carlisle to bring us some donor blood from the hospital. Once he gets his job here back it won't be hard to get it. This shouldn't be a permanent solution though. Taking from people isn't something we like doing." Rose added.

...

We were all sitting on the couch when Bella got home. I was positioned just as I had been taught. Bella was shocked to see us all. She couldn't even form the words to greet us.

"Bella," Alice greeted.

Alice got up put a hand on her shoulder. Bella kept her eyes on me.

"We found your sister and we need to talk."

I grabbed Rosalie's hand for support. Alice moved Bella to the opposite couch and rejoined us.

"Hi," I started.

"Where the hell have you been?"

"I was in the forest."

"What?"

"Bella, the day I disappeared, I ran into Victoria. She... She changed me. I wanted to tell you but I was scared that I'd hurt you."

"You're... a vampire?" She whispered.

"Yeah. I've kept my distance for safety but I'm tired of hiding. I could have faked my death and ran off with Alice and Rose, but I wanted to make sure you knew first. I want you to know I didn't just leave you."

Bella started crying. I wasn't surprised given her usual dramatics.

"We have a plan for her if we stay. I've already disguised her as human. The rest of the plan should be easy." Alice broke our silence.

"So you're gonna just act like it didn't happen? Charlie's gonna know something happened."

"We have a story to tell him." Rosalie chimed in.

"I'm also going to move out. It'll make the thirst easier and avoid suspicion. "

"I don't want to talk anymore. In fact, I don't want to see you anymore! I can't believe you were there the whole time and didn't say anything!"

Bella stood and stormed up the stairs. Alice and Rose glanced at each other, fear in their eyes.

"You don't think she'll sabotage us, do you?" Alice asked.

"I don't know," I muttered.

"Well given her history with dramatics, I wouldn't count it out," Rose stated.

"What do we do now? Should we risk it," I questioned.

A/n- short chapter bc I can't decide which way to go with this. Should they move away while only Bella knows her secret, or risk being revealed so she can stay with her family and friends? Idek at this point.
