"No effing way!" Kie shouted as she paced the porch. Grace was leaning against one of the porch pillars, frown on her face. JJ and Pope were sitting together watching the chaos unfold.
"You brought her here? So what? She's in on this now?" Kie scoffed. Sarah was sat on the couch next to John B while Kie lost her mind and Grace was silently wanting to strangle John B.
"Look, all I care about is her cut comes out of your share," JJ butted in.
"You know, I don't remember taking a vote. This is our thing. A Pogue thing."
"I gotta say, I'm just a tad uncomfortable with all of this," Pope added.
"Thank you!" Kie exclaimed.
"When are you not uncomfortable?" John B reasoned.
"I dunno. I rode here on the back of JJ's bike pretty comfortably."
"It's true. Most relaxed I've ever seen him," JJ continued.
Grace bit her lip to hold in a smile.
"That's cute guys," John B muttered.
"So John B are you like my in-law now?" Grace looked over at him. She was telling a joke but her tone was annoyed.
"You know we were all extremely comfortable until you brought her," Kie spoke.
"Stop talking about me like I'm not here!" Sarah exclaimed.
Kie and Grace spoke in sync, "Then leave."
Sarah scoffed then looked at John B, "I told you."
"Told him what, exactly? That you're a liar?" Kie asked.
"Or a cheater?" Grace added.
Sarah finally had enough, "No, that you're a shit-talking bitch."
JJ pulled out a five dollar bill, "My money's on Kie and Gracie."
"When have I lied?" Sarah asked.
"Oh I don't know... maybe when you got with my ex-boyfriend after telling me you hated him," Grace rolled her eyes.
"Everybody shut up!" John B shouted. "Kie, you are my best friend, right? Grace you're basically my sister. And Sarah, you're...you're my..."
Sarah smiled and whispered, "Say it."
"You're my girlfriend."
Grace's jaw dropped. "I was joking about the in law stuff. This is nasty. I might throw up."
"She's your girlfriend now? What was all that talk about you were just using her for information? Get a map, cut her loose," Kie spoke sarcastically.
Sarah's face dropped, "You said you were using me?"
"No."
"Yeah, you did," Pope quickly corrected. "You said those things."
"Look, love just walked in, okay?"
Kie fake gagged as Grace held her hands over her mouth, jaw wide open.
"I didn't expect it. It just... it kind of happened. And I'm not gonna deny it. Grace you and JJ had like the same thing..."
Grace shook her head quickly, "This has nothing to do with me and JJ."
"Look, cut the bullshit, John B. If she's in, I'm out," Kie spoke bitterly.
"Yeah same. I can't watch my brother and sister be lovey dovey."
John B looked at her and tilted his head with his eyes narrowed in confusion. Grace just shrugged.
