Kooks and Pogues.

Two tribes.

One island.

I've never been a Kook.

Maybe part of me wanted to be one.

To fit in with my half-siblings. My dad.

But I wasn't.

I won't ever be.

It was supposed to be Poguelandia forever. But when we got back to Kildare it was all backwards.

Suddenly, JJ wouldn't speak to me.

The one person who I would always rely on refused to rely on me.

And now...

I have nothing left.

No family.

No money.

No Big John.

No Rick.

No JJ.

Nothing.

So how do I move forward?

Honestly, at this point... I have no idea.

"I mean, like, even after he was down, John B was still hitting him," Sarah said while hiking up her shorts.

"Yeah, I've never seen him like that," Kie replied while Sarah made her way into the bathroom. "You actually think he's gonna get arrested?"

The three girls had stayed at Kie's house the previous night, needing to be together after all of the chaos. Plus, Sarah didn't really have anywhere to stay and Grace was technically part of the family now.

"Topper is definitely pressing charges," Grace mumbled through a yawn while pushing herself up onto her elbows.

"He can't get arrested." Sarah made her way back out into the bedroom while buttoning her top. "Not now. If he's locked up, he can't help his dad. I have to fix this. Can you give me a ride to Topper's? Please."

"You don't think this plan could make things worse?" Kiara asked.

Grace climbed out of Kie's bed and to the washroom to splash water on her face. "Were neither of you gonna tell me I look half dead?"

"You look fine," Kie shouted over to her.

Grace ran a hand down her face and made her way back to the bed, sitting down next to Kie. "Yeah, Sare, this might backfire."

Sarah shrugged. "It might. It might work though. Look, I don't know what's gonna happen with me and John B. But what I do know is I can't just sit by and watch him get arrested while his dad's abducted. I have to try."

Sarah left and headed down the stairs leaving Kie and Grace sitting on the bed.

"So... I talked to JJ last night," Kie spoke cautiously.

Grace groaned and threw herself back to lay down. "I hate to ask but did he say anything?"

Kie shrugged. "He said lots of things."

"Do I wanna know?"

She shrugged once more. "I think he's doing his JJ self-loathing thing. But I guess to the extreme. Sarah told me he's getting evicted. So maybe that has to do with it?"
