"Okay, ready?" John B asked before helping Sarah off the boat and onto the beach.
"I could kiss the ground right now," Grace grinned while grabbing a gas canister.
"Hey, listen, we're gonna get some gas, find a phone, and get out of here, all right?"
"How are we gonna pay for the gas?" Sarah asked John B as the trio made their way up the beach.
"Don't worry about it. We'll figure it out."
"That's code for we're gonna steal it," Grace whispered to her sister. She was in a way better mood. They were not only back in the US but also only a state away from the OBX and JJ.

"They're a bunch of fancy people. They've had like three governors in the family," Kie explained as the truck chugged along. "They've run Charleston for, like, 300 years."
"These kooks make our kooks look like pogues," JJ added. The truck pulled to a stop outside of a massive estate. "You sure this is the place, Pope?"
"Pretty sure."
"All right," JJ opened his door and climbed out.
Pope held up the letter, "Twenty seven King Street."
"Gracie would hate this place. Talk about home security," JJ gestured to the massive fences with spikes on the tops. "Are those spikes to keep people out?"
Kie shook her head, "No."
"The slave quarters are over there," Pope pointed, "Those spikes were to keep people in."

The trio walked past a man on a bench eating a sandwich. Grace felt her mouth water.
"That looks so good. I'm starving," John B voiced all of their thoughts. "We gotta get some food. Follow my lead."
Sarah and Grace followed behind John B and watched as he "accidentally" bumped into a waiter, sending drinks all over one of the customers.
Sarah gasped dramatically.
"You idiot," the man stood.
"Oh my god!" Grace exclaimed.
"Your shoes!" Sarah added.
"This is a $1,700 jacket!" the man shouted.
"A hundred percent on me. I'm sorry. I bumped into him," John B replied.
"Sorry about him sir, he's known to be a klutz," Grace smiled sympathetically.
"So you're saying you're going to pay for it?"
"We don't have any money, we're broke," she sighed.
"Of course you are. Pathetic," he spit back.
Grace watched as Sarah slipped the credit card off the table and into her pocket.
Sarah fell into step beside John B and Grace, "No need for name calling, sir."
The trio walked off, trying to act as casual as possible.
"Did you get it?" John B asked quietly.
"What are you talking about?" Sarah smirked as she pulled out a credit card, "You mean this? I'll sugar mama you."
"I was hoping you would say that."
Grace groaned, "Y'all are gonna regret all this flirting. The second we're back with the others I'm laying it on extra thick with JJ just to spite you."
