It's the next day and everyone got some much needed sleep. Except for Fatima she stirred all night thinking about Zac and the kids. The house was quiet, way too quiet for her liking. Around this time of day the kids would be coming to wake her and Zac up, it felt weird not having them all there. The emptiness in her heart was fitting for the air around
her. She sat up in bed looking at the corners of the room hoping today would be better than yesterday. All night she pictured the look on Zac's face when she hit him she wasn't sure if he would ever forgive her. Like a tape player, her mind kept replaying the events of the night before.. all the hurtful things she said to him and he said to her. Last night, watching Zac and the kids pull out the drive way was hardest thing she's ever done because he may as well took her heart with him. Fatima didn't want to start the day so she laid back in bed and buried her head into the pillow. She laid and cried calling Zac back to back but he didn't answer. She cried until Junie start kicking letting her know he was up. She rubbed circles around her belly feeling less alone while he movedFatima. I know you want daddy.., me too
She said calmly while she held her belly to sooth him
She finally got herself out of bed and went down the hall to see if her mom was up...Fatima. Hey mom are you leaving
Fatima stood quietly by the door looking at her mothers bag on the bedFarryn. Good morning baby
Farryn walked over to kiss her cheek
I only packed for one night if you need me to stay longer I will, just let me go home and get more things then I'll come backFatima. No it's okay I'm sure Zac will be home with the kids today she replied optimistically
Farryn didn't know about the argument between Zac and Fatima she just assumed Zac took a break for the night and would be home later. Fatima allowed her to believe that because she was ashamed to tell her mom about the details of the argument
Farryn. If you need me you call me she said hugging her
Fatima. I will mommy thank you so much for staying she said hugging her back
Farryn grabbed her belongings and went downstairs.. she has a three hour drive back home that's why she was up early so she could get on the road
Fatima shut and locked the door behind her, she didn't like being in the house alone. She went back upstairs to shower and get dressed once she got out she called Zac over and over but he still didn't answer. She went to the kitchen to make a quick bowl of cereal to take with her prenatal vitamins. She sat at the island and tried to eat but she didn't have a appetite. She poured the cereal down the drain and decided to grab a strawberry banana smoothie drink out the fridge. She stopped drinking when heard a knock at the door. She got excited and went to open it hoping to see Zac and the kids. She swung the door open seeing Liam standing on the other side of it, she mentally rolled her eyes her mood instantly changed when she realized it wasn't Zac or the kids...
Liam. What's wrong
Liam asked because he was really concerned about her
She stood in front of him with puffy eyes, she looked like she was suffering, he's only ever seen her that depressed once and it did something to him it hurt him to see her hurt.Fatima. I'm fine just leave please now isn't a good time
She said while trying to wipe away some tears and hide her true feelings. She knew she wasn't believable
Especially not for Liam. She wanted nothing more than to have Zac standing on the other side of the door ready to work things out. She was disappointed that it wasn't himLiam. Look I know you're mad at me and I know I said some things I didn't mean to say. I just came to apologize and I also left my watch in the kitchen
But you can talk to me, you obviously need a friend and I can't leave unless I know you're okay....
So you can be mad at me later just let me be here for you now he said trying to reason with her..
