A few weeks has gone by since Liam told Lori about his history with Fatima. Lori walked around the house emotionless but still maintained to do all her "wifely duties". She would wake up early and cook them breakfast followed by lunch in the afternoon and lastly dinner. She even still did things like making his lunch for work. The house stayed cleaned and so did the laundry. She was hurt but she still made sure she did all her original tasks as a stay at home wife...

Since Liam told her the truth about him and Fatima Lori went into an emotional shell essentially protecting her self from the pain. Lori wasn't speaking to Liam she could barely even look him in the face without her heart crumbling.
Often times, her mind would continuously replay the conversation they had a week ago. She felt like a pawn in Liam's game, someone he could toy with until the person he really wanted came around...
The most hurtful thing to Lori was how the two people she loves the most in the world could do something like that to her... She felt forcefully stuck in the middle of their complicated love story.
How could she be so blind? she thought..
She had flashbacks of high school and college years, she blamed herself for not noticing the signs or allowing the love she had for Liam ignore them... Thoughts of her friendship with Fatima also filled her mind. All the nights they spent on the phone talking about Liam and Isaiah, all the opportunities Fatima had to tell her something but she didn't.
As she drowned alone in her thoughts Lori was scorned, She felt optional, unvalued and betrayed. Stranded in her own mind, she didn't know if she would be okay or if she would ever be okay again....

Lori. OUCH!!! FUCK!!!
Lori swore as she grabbed onto her finger tightly...
She had been bounded by her thoughts and accidentally touched the hot stove where she was cooking breakfast
For her, the burn was a tiny sting compared to the gnawing pain in her chest, a everlasting ache uncertain if it would ever go away

Liam. Baby are you okay? let me see it.
he said standing up from his seated position..

Liam was sitting by the kitchen island on a stool checking emails when he looked over and saw her wince in pain
He immediately went to her aid to help because he was concerned

Lori saw him approaching and all the sudden she felt fine, the pain in her finger was gone because the pain he caused her was far worse. The burning of her finger felt minuscule once Liam came close to her...

Liam grabbed her hand to take a look at how bad she burned herself but she immediately snatched it away

Lori. I'm fine
She said, but she wasn't
She wasn't fine at all she was suffering
..Breakfast is done she said looking into his eyes
Then quickly leaving the kitchen

Liam cursed himself, he hated how things were between them. He hated how she looked at him.
He could feel the hurt, and the resentment in her eyes and he was the cause of all of it. Liam stood in the kitchen processing his feelings he gathered himself then went to find her..

Liam got upstairs to their bedroom  and heard her cries coming from the adjoined bathroom. He stopped and shook his head in disappointment. Every sniffle he heard sent a stabbing sensation through his body. He went to the bathroom door and twisted the knob but she locked it. He knocked twice and rested his forehead on the door.

Liam. Baby please open the door
He said in a sympathetic manner

Lori. My finger feels fine
Just go to work Liam
Her voice shuddered
She looked at her reflection in the mirror tears covering her face she was shattered

Liam must've called someone on the phone because Lori heard him saying he wouldn't be at work today and he was taking a week off because he had some family matters to tend to
