Connie's disappointment when he didn't kiss her was soul crushing. More than anything on any planet he wanted to go back and kiss her right, lock lips no matter what was going on in the world and wipe that look of utter despair off of her pretty face. She was far too beautiful to look so crestfallen, and he hadn't expected that outcome at all. In fact, he'd expected her to slap him even after she'd asked for healing.

'I have to ask her on a date now. I have to kiss her, I can't stand it any longer and this is starting to drive me insane.'

Now he was sitting behind her as she chatted idly with Anna about the test they had taken in Introduction To Kink.

"I barely even remember any of my results," Connie sighed. "I think I scored like, weirdly high for vanilla but I don't remember the exact number."

Anna lowered her voice after glancing around. "I always get the same four at the very top: Rope Bunny, Age Player, Pet, Masochist," She listed. "I never have to be too surprised, but it's really hard to find a guy who can accommodate all of those happily. Maybe I need two."

She vaguely noticed Adam and Hazel glance at her, then each other with nasty glares.

Connie was quiet for a moment, then leaned forward and whispered in Anna's ear who loudly gasped and threw some crumpled up paper at Steven.

"Ow!" He cradled his arm like it was broken and sniffled. "Most of my instruments are ambidextrous, but it'll still suck to try and wipe my ass."

"You had the perfect chance and valid reason to kiss Connie and you didn't?" She shrieked.

It was not a quiet accusation and several people were suddenly also very curious.

"Why do I tell you anything if you're just going to blurt it out immediately?" Connie cried. "Sorry, Steven. She apparently is incapable of keeping her mouth shut and I forget every time until it's too late."

"Let the record show, I was being a gentleman." He glanced around at the disappointed expressions and felt even worse. "Yes it works faster if it's mouth to mouth, but I was respecting her seemingly apparent lack of awareness. She was like an overcooked noodle." He reached for her shoulders and pulled her so she was leaning as far back as possible and rested his chin on her head. "But I mean, I can always make it up later. If I call it a follow-up she might buy it."

He expected to be judo flipped when she grabbed his wrist because of the tight grip but she loosened it after a few beats and sighed.

"If you don't get off of me I'm going to hurt you," She murmured.

"Whoa, a nonspecific threat? Connie, you're losing your edge," Hazel accused.

"And to think I voted you President." Jolene sighed. "The greats always fall the farthest."

"I'm not losing my edge! I'm not reacting so he gets bored and moves on." She sounded proud of herself but even Adam looked baffled.

"Connie, that's not a master plan. That's just called dating. You're essentially lying down and taking it. Now, there's nothing stopping him from flirting with you even harder and maybe you think that'll work to wear him out but I truly doubt it will," He lectured her. "I mean, look at you two. Half of the time you're blushing nowadays, and you can't stop hanging out together. If I need to find you, I look for Steven's hair."

"Wha- no it's not! It's not dating!" She squeaked as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"You're so precious," He said just soft enough for her to hear only. He couldn't stop thinking about how sad she'd looked. Anna would have to tell him exactly what she'd told her happened.
