Connie had once again woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Or maybe floor was more accurate since she had also woken up there.

"Alright class, settle down." Rueman walked in, her eyes glued to a clipboard she was clumsily flipping through with one hand.

Connie was slightly amused at how many teachers acted bored with their class topics sometimes despite what they taught being one of the most interesting things humanity had to offer.

"It looks like today, we will be continuing to study the infamous 45 Degree Angle we started covering this week. We will watch the refresher video from the beginning of this week, with a class demo at the end."

The movement in the room ceased and they all looked around nervously.

"Yes, it is that time of year again when we start doing those. If you're new, know they don't happen very frequently. Those of you who have opted out will have an essay, and those of you who haven't may opt out now," She reminded them kindly, but no one dared to raise their hands. It wasn't like they had to, but they all were validly apprehensive.

The confidence classes were more hardcore on being comfortable with your body, and being able to present in class without feeling ashamed or awkward. Connie had taken the class last semester, and though Steven was here it wasn't like she was all that nervous. She felt more competitive and resolved than anything, and she was confident in her skill.

"Alright then. Boys, you can take out your phone now unless you take it in the ass for gay for pay or are just plain old fruity. Girls with strap ons, or penises, this one is for you too. My fellow enbies who prefer dominant roles, etc." Rueman winked at them playfully.

A few scattered chuckles and various eye rolls erupted from the class as backpacks began to shuffle and phones came out, though at least half of the guys were sans phone still. This school was really progressive, and Connie had grown accustomed to all the types of people she'd never really started learning about until way too late.

She wished Anna was here, but she was in her part time Genital Biology class with Professor Addams. Anna was practically in love with the man, claiming he made her hard enough to chop wood. There was still speculation that he and Steven were actually related since they looked eerily alike, but he quickly shut that down whenever he heard it.

"My dad isn't a teacher, he was a rockstar."

Of course everyone ate that up, he was so casual about it and everyone loved his undying honesty and friendliness.

He had opted to keep some things private though, such as his childhood.

Unfortunately, his past had followed him in some ways as people recognized that he was once the teen boy who saved the universe with his magic powers, the main one being friendship and his ability to see the good in everyone. He hadn't seemed to love that, but he responded as casually as he could.

Memories of their date floated around her head, but she was so irritated they only made her mad.

Connie's phone buzzed and she casually reached into her pocket to peek at the notification.

'Gay 4 $$$? Should I try?'

She pulled it out all the way and her thumbs hovered over the keyboard before hastily typing out,

'I'm still baffled as to why you're here, you know. Don't think I'm going soft on you. The Steven Universe I knew would've never applied, much less stayed.'

'I got in fair and square, I think you're just mad that I'm making my way to top of the class. I think you're jealous, in more ways than one.'

She hated how he saw through her, she hated that smug smile, those gorgeous brown eyes and the devilish pink ones, his near forever relaxed body language and that sexy body. She hated it so much. She hated everything today.
