"This is insane. Didn't you remember the last dance we went to where I freaked out?" Connie laughed.
"Of course, but... I may or may not know some of the managers and they offered me an appearance night." He adjusted the cuffs on his sleeves carefully, looking up when he caught Connie mooning out of the corner of his eye. "Can I help you?"
"You're just... so sexy." She wrinkled her nose and watched him finish. "You're so flamboyant and generous and just... precious all the time but... Can I just say something insane?"
He tipped his head, now intrigued even more by her outburst. "You have my attention."
"You're just suddenly... very..." She flushed and shook her head. "You know what? That would be stupid to say."
She pressed a hand to her cheek and turned away.
He stood and grabbed her waist firmly as she finished putting in her earrings. She looked ravishing in her purple shirt with gold stars littered all over it. It fit snugly up to her neck, and the ends of the sleeves dangled in a bell bottom fashion. To his enjoyment there was a little open pocket right above her breasts.
"Can you put a single smaller braid down the back of my hair?" She asked as she lined her eyes.
"Attached or detached?" He reached beside her for a brush and caught himself in the reflection of the mirror. Good god, he looked good.
He had picked out a shirt he didn't wear except for special occasions because he hated taking it off. It was black, not a shred of pink in sight, with gold and white stars in different patterns. Some were simply outlined with dotted white streaks and others were large, shimmering gold stars. He couldn't figure out what to do with his own hair, so he'd conditioned it twice and let the airy waves turn into medium sized ringlets similar to Rose's.
"Detached please." She caught his eye in the mirror and smirked. "You're such a pretty boy. Handsome. Sexy. Gorgeous."
He pulled a section out and brushed through it a few times. "I think you're only coming with me to show me off."
An aloof shoulder lifted as he split the section into three and braided down it with skillful precision. "Your words, not mine. I think you only invited me out for the same reason."
He nodded. "But of course. Aren't you?"
"Aren't I what?" She handed him a tiny box of gold cuffs with stars dangling off of them and he grinned. He loved a stylish woman.
"Mine to show off."
She considered this carefully. "Maybe."
"Not the 'you belong to me' kind. The 'you belong with me' kind," He clarified. He moved back to survey his work and decided to move one cuff up a centimeter.
"Then it's a resounding 'yes'." She pulled her lip gloss from the drawer and lathered some on.
It was impossible not to stare as her plump lips dipped under the gliding pressure of the brush and became shiny and soft pink.
"I love watching you do feminine things like putting on lip gloss and wiggling into your pants and getting your nails done," He admitted huskily. "Don't get me wrong, I love that you can kick my ass and..." He hesitated and cleared his throat as she turned around.
Even her steps were lighter as she all but pranced to him. "And fuck it too?"
A heavy blush crept up his neck. "You're the worst."
She giggled and ran her thumb along his jawline. "You love me."
They shared a brief kiss and he smacked her ass. "Don't forget who's in charge here."
