Katara

"Sokka, come play with me". I called chasing after my older brother in the halls. "The games I play are too rough for a girl". "Not true, momma said anything a boy can do a girl can do as well". I said looking at him sternly.

"You don't know how to fight and can barely swim". "Not true! Mom's been teaching me how to swim and you know it"! "Alright that's enough, Sokka be nice to your sister". My dad said coming over to us. "Daddy make him play with me". "She's eight". "I don't care".

"Sokka you should want to play with your sister. When she was a baby you didn't want to put her down". "Your father's right, I had to trick you to give her back to me so I could feed or change her". My eyes lit up at the sound of her voice. "Momma"!

I ran over to her as fast as I could and jumped in her arms. "Hi there my little tadpole". I giggled. "Will you play with me, momma"? "Of course, I will but first daddy and I have business to tend to so Sokka will have to play with you until I'm done".

"Ok"! "Fine". Sokka pouted. "Lady Kya, Lord Hakoda he's here".

Who's here

"Who do you thinks coming to see momma and daddy"? I asked my brother as we walked around the back garden together. "Don't know, their probably taking care of adult stuff again". He said while fiddling with a knife in his hand.

"Want a snack"? I nodded and watched as he threw his knife into the air piercing one of the apples that were on the tree and catching it as it came down. "Here". He said taking it off the knife and handing it to me. "Thank you". I took a bite.

"Kids shouldn't be carrying around weapons that are too dangerous for them". A man dressed in all red said approaching us. I looked up and saw that his eyes were cold and dark. His facial expression went well with the suit of armor he was wearing.

I hid behind Sokka quickly as he glared back at the man. Mom and dad would get visitors sometimes but none of them ever looked this dangerous. "That's none of your business my dad gave me this knife". "Fiesty aren't we, I'd suggest you two run along before your sister accidentally gets hurt because of you and your knife".

"Sokka, Katara come here will you". Our grandmother called out to us. Without a second thought, we ran over and clung to her tight. "They're just children, they're of no interest to you". The dangerous man scoffed and walked inside heading to where our parents were. I hoped I was wrong in the moment but after he passed by us I was very much afraid for my parents.

Kya

The atmosphere was tense as I sat beside my husband. For years Hakoda and I have been in charge of protecting the moon kingdom from any and all possible threats. We weren't born royalty but the citizens decided to crown us king and queen after Hakoda and I helped save everyone from a raid invasion.

The battle was bloody with lives lost on both sides but we still won in the end and have done a fine job of ruling for the past ten years. We were blessed with two kids during that time. Neither of them know their royalty.

All they know is that they live in a very big nice house and that the citizens think highly of us and our opinions. Hakoda and I know they'll be targeted if everyone knew about them. On their sixteenth birthdays, we decided to tell them the truth.

"Your majesties, he's here". One of our guards announced. "Send him in Ace". "Yes sir". He opened the door and in walked a Phoniex military official. "Your majesties". He bowed. "Your name". Hakoda asked.
