Azula

I couldn't believe it. I heard the words come out of his mouth but I couldn't believe a word he was saying. My mother was still alive. How? Where has she been all these years? Has she been trying to get us back or did she abandon us? Why did she leave in the first place?

"Are you sure you read it right"? Sokka made his way over to me handing over both pieces of paper. My eyes widened in shock as I read what both of them said over and over.

Mom was forced here. Dads not the true heir to the throne.

"I'm sorry you had to find out like this Azula but it's true". "Where did you find these"? "In a secret passageway behind one of the bookshelves". I looked at Sokka. "No offense but how good is she"? "She wouldn't lie about this, you can trust her Azula". I looked down. "Have you told this to Zuko yet"?

"No, out of the two of you, you're the only one that knows". "Do you know where she is"? "No, I haven't been able to track down her location". "It's a long shot but I have a feeling we should check her hometown". Sokka said. I teared up. "I wouldn't know where it is".

He made his way over to me carefully wrapping his arms around me. "I'll find it, don't worry". "I might know someone who can help".

Katara

I left the room giving them time to be alone together and snuck into the closet empty room there was.

Me: I need to talk to you. Are you alone?

Jet: At the moment yeah, what's up? Your mission going ok?

Me: That's just the thing, there's been a change of planes. Sokka and I need to borrow your plane.

Jet: When do you need me there?

Me: Tonight. We might also need a medic

Jet: I'll be there

During the day Sokka and I did our best to stay out of sight and act as if we didn't know anything. Azula didn't leave Zuko's side nor did Mei come to check on him during the day which was perfect for us. When nighttime came I made my way back to Zuko's room and headed inside with Sokka.

"How is he"? I asked. "He can't get any rest. He falls asleep but it's only for thirty minutes or an hour". "A doctor hasn't been by to see him"? "Did I not tell you this was our father's punishment for him"? I looked down. "You did".

"K Katara". His voice was strained as he slowly opened his eyes. I made my way over to him immediately and held his hand. "It's ok, just try to relax". He was about to say something else when my phone went off.

Jet: Were here head to the back garden Longshot, pipsqueak, and the duke have all taken care of the guards but you need to hurry

"We need to go now, Sokka help him up". I helped him sit up as Sokka walked over to us and carefully placed his arm over his shoulder. "Just lean on me and control your breathing". He nodded. Azula grabbed both their bags and followed us as I led them to the meeting point. It was dark with very little lights on but that didn't matter.

Since being here I've learned how to navigate through them with ease. Thankfully everyone was asleep making it a lot easier for us. Once outside we ran straight to Jet and the others who were waiting for us.

"What are the prince and princess doing with you two"? Jet asked. "He's the reason I asked for a medic". Sokka took him inside and I followed behind as he brought him into one of the rooms.

The medic was a young woman with long brown hair, olive skin, and green eyes. "How long has he been like this"? "Since yesterday. Can you help him"? "I can, it'll just be a few hours". "Katara". He reached his hand out to me but Jet grabbed hold of my arm stopping me before I could get to him.

I looked at Jet before smiling softly at Zuko. "Go ahead, I'll be here when you wake up". The three of us walked out and I followed behind Jet as he brought me to his room.

"Whats the matter with you? There was nothing wrong with me staying in the room with him". "You don't need to be getting close to him unnecessarily. Don't forget who his father is". "I know exactly the kind of man his father is and Zuko is nothing like him. He's kind, sweet caring, the complete opposite of Ozai".

"It could be an act, you've only known him for a few days". "You don't know him at all so don't act as if you do. The only reason your here is to help me help him find his long-lost mother am I understood"? "Yes maam". "Good".
