We returned to Route 7 with Wela Volcano still warm behind us. Firium Z rested safely with Lillie and me, Charizard Ride had been added to the Ride Pager, and the shiny female Salandit's Poké Ball felt like a new promise at my side. Selene kept glancing down at her own regular Salandit's Poké Ball too, still proud of the Fire and Poison partner she had gained.
Before we reached the barricade, two familiar figures approached from the road. Mom waved first, while Lillie's father walked beside her with a gentle smile that made Lillie stop in surprise.
"Father, what brings you here?" Lillie asked.
"We are stopping by," Mohn said. "And it seems you cleared Kiawe's trial. Well done. That means you can now ride Charizard using the Ride Pager."
Mom stepped closer with excitement she did not try to hide. "The Poké Pelago setup is complete, and we wanted to show you around."
"Poké Pelago?" Mallow asked, puzzled.
Sophocles adjusted his glasses. "Is that a resort? A training facility? A research base?"
"A little of all of that," Mom said.
I looked at everyone. "How about we all go together?"
The idea spread quickly through the group. After days of trials, battles, and volcanic heat, visiting a Pokémon resort sounded like exactly the kind of stop that could help everyone breathe. We activated Charizard Ride, and the Ride Pokémon carried us across the sky toward the islands Mom and Mohn had been developing.
Flying by Ride Charizard felt familiar and different at the same time. I knew the feeling of Charizard's strength beneath me from my own partner, but this Charizard belonged to Alola's travel system. It carried us safely, not as a capture, but as a trusted ride connecting places we had already reached.
Lillie held carefully during the flight, looking between the sea and her father. "So Poké Pelago is finished?"
"Finished enough to welcome you," Mohn said. "Like memories, islands can still develop after they begin."
The question of Poké Pelago brought a different energy to the group. Trials always made everyone stand straighter, but a place built for Pokémon to relax made shoulders lower instead. Even Torracat stopped glaring toward the memory of Incineroar long enough to sniff the sea wind.
Lillie's father watched that small change with a faint smile. "A journey asks so much from Pokémon. I wanted these islands to ask something gentler from them."
Lillie looked at him, and I could tell she was hearing more than the words. Mohn still missed pieces of himself, but the instinct to care for Pokémon had survived every broken memory.
The islands appeared below us, small and bright against the ocean. A hut stood near the main landing area, and several Pokémon already relaxed near the shore. When we arrived, Kiawe looked around with honest surprise.
"I never knew such a place existed."
Sophocles gazed at the smaller islands. "There are many islands around this area."
Mohn stood proudly before the Raft Hut. "Welcome to Poké Pelago. These uninhabited islands are dedicated to the joy of Pokémon. I keep the place running so Pokémon can play, relax, train, and explore whenever they wish."
Mom gestured toward the hut. "This has been our private castle since these deserted islands became a resort. Mohn built it himself."
Lillie looked at the hut, her expression soft. "It feels like something peaceful was made here."
Mohn's smile warmed. "That was the hope."
Our first stop was Isle Abeens, where a huge Poké Beanstalk rose into the sky. Beans lay scattered beneath it in different colors, and several Pokémon wandered near the crates as if deciding whether they trusted us enough to snack while we watched.
