"HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"
The covered gymnasium was filled with noise and endless greetings. It was 7 PM, and the party was still in full swing. Neon LED lights flashed everywhere which casted different colors across the room. A few bands were playing on stage, and almost everyone was moving along to the music.
"The Halloween Costume Runaway will be held later! And of course, may pa-premyo tayo sa best costume! Stay tuned!" anunsyo ng dalawang emcee sa stage dahilan para mas lalong umingay ang paligid.
"Steve, dapat nag-scarecrow outfit ka na lang!" natatawa kong asar sa kanya nang mapadaan siya sa table namin. Each section was still seated together, and every table had its own color code. The HUMSS tables were red, making it easy to identify each strand since their tables were in different colors.
"Correction; taong grasa," mahinang komento ni Jedidah. Halata talagang mainit ang dugo niya kay Steve. Pero ako lang ang nakarinig ng sinabi niya kaya natawa ako roon.
"Ah, ganoon ba? Dapat nag devil outfit ka, e," asar niya sa akin pabalik at saka diretso nang nagpunta sa table ng mga STEM, which is kulay blue.
Nakasuot lang ako ng black cloak. Inilihis ko pa ang hood nito paalis sa tuktok ng ulo ko dahil medyo naiinitan na ako. Simpleng grim reaper lang naman ang napili kong costume ngayon. I even have a small toy scythe as a prop, adding a touch of spooky charm to the outfit.
Ready na akong magsundo ng mga kaluluwa!
Apat kaming magkakatapat nina Rhyolite, Finnley, at Jedidah sa iisang maliit na table. We were busy eating our treats, puro dessert and choco drinks ang karamihan. I was busy scanning the whole surrounding as I mouthed the lyrics of the song that was being played at the stage na Beauty and a Beat. Nakikisabay na rin ang lahat.

"Let's party!" sigaw ng vocalist na nasa stage.
We all stood up and started gathering in the middle of the gymnasium. Finnley was already leading the way, body-rocking to the music. When the assigned band finished their set, a new buzzing sound took over the gym and Nicki Minaj songs were blasting everywhere. Finnley went all out, practically stealing everyone's attention as he danced. He even challenged other HUMSS students to dance showdowns.
As soon as the song concluded, we settled back into our own little world again. When I ran out of snacks, I bid farewell to my friends for a while and made my way to the buffet to have my own tiny feast. Nilagyan ko ng choco macaroons, cookies, at oreo cheesecake ang dalawang plato ko. Kukuha na sana ako ng drinks pero hindi ko na pala mahahawakan.
I was startled by the sight of Jayscen, already standing next to me. He then took out a mug that was on the table and stuffed it with a chocolate drink. Hindi pa ako nakuntentong nakatitig sa kanya dahil sa suot niyang costume.
Nananagip ba ako?! He was wearing a black suit and black gloves. His dark hair was tied up knot at the back kaya para na siyang may apple hair.
Naka-contacts pa siya at kita ang kulay nito na natamaan ng sinag ng ilaw. May props din siyang espada na nakalagay sa likod niya. May subo siyang lollipop sa bibig, instead of a cigarette, probably to complete the look of the character he chose.
