Chapter 26
Ikaw ang in-charge do'n, ah."
Our Entrepreneurship teacher said that we could only create three or four products for the product testing. Once these were approved by the future judges—who were also teachers, including our homeroom teacher—those would be the products we'd sell at the business summit for all of Grade 12.
I was wearing Jayscen's jacket today. It was the windbreaker he had draped over my shoulders that night. I hadn't even returned it back, because at that time, it felt like everything just. . . disappeared. What puzzled me even more was that I still didn't understand why he had given it to me that night, especially after I turned him down.
"Pa-jacket-jacket pa 'to! Magte-training tayo, hoy!"
Even before we entered, we could already hear the lound sounds coming from the various strikes and smashes of multiple rackets.
What a good day to be alive.
More chances to see him! Even just a quick glance would be enough to fill me up, it would complete my day. I can't believe I'm this worked up just to attend practice. As long as Jayscen's there, I might even train on the weekend. Nami-miss ko na kasi siya—sobra.
I just sighed, overwhelmed by all the thoughts running through my mind, and took a deep breath to face what lay ahead. Then, I aggressively grabbed Finnley and headed straight to where our teammates were. I was already in my PE uniform. It was just a simple white T-shirt with three sky-blue stripes on the sleeves. I skipped the pants and wore the shorts version of the uniform instead, so I could move and jump more comfortably.
The training started after a quite moment.
Our training sessions usually lasted two to three hours. With our schedule, we actually had two hours in the morning and three in the afternoon. Our coach was strict as well, so there's no room anymore to slack off. Before I realized it, time had flown by, and my teammates and I were exhausted so we headed back to the benches for a short break.
