"Ang lamig ng December, lalo na 'yong isa r'yan!" dinig ko ang walang hiyang boses ni Finnley na nasa tabi ng seat ko.

"Umalis ka sa harap ko! Matatampal kita!" banta ko dahil naiirita ako sa smug face niya.

"Aysus, ang grumpy naman ng bebe namin na 'yan," asar ni Jedidah nang makalapit sa pwesto ko.

Masama ang loob ko dahil kulang ako sa tulog!

I wrapped myself in a sweater because the weather was really cold. It was Wednesday, just two days left before the holiday, since it was the last day of Student's Day and the Year-End Party. I was hesitating whether I should attend Kanluran Band practice today or not. I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to perform tomorrow.

After what happened between Jayscen and I.

I didn't know what face to show him today. I felt embarrassed to face him after rejecting someone like him. I was a bit ashamed to face Ate Jillian as well. Surely, our encounter would be awkward. I was out of my mind as I walked down the hallway. I was planning to go to the music room where the Kanluran members were practicing. Yet, even so, my steps felt heavy. I had been feeling so gloomy lately.

Muntikan na akong matumba nang may dumagan na kamay sa magkabilang balikat ko. I gave Jester and Davin the sharpest look I could do. Lintik, ang bigat-bigat!

They just laughed at me because the two of them had messed up my hair. We ended up chasing each other down the hallway because of their mischief. The three of us ran until we reached outside. I was still panting as I stopped, since they had finally stopped too.

"Anong trip ninyong dalawa?!" kunwaring asar na sabi ko. Dahil napagod ay umupo na lang ako sa tabi. "Patampal nga sa inyo, dali!" I even gestured my hand as if I am slapping their face.

Nasa labas na kami ng building kung saan nakahilera ang mga benches sa tapat nito. Jester and Davin were just making face as they continued to annoy me.

"Ang lamig ng December, mabuti na lang mainit ulo mo," sabi ni Jester habang lumalapit sa akin.

Since I was sitting on a wide stone, the two of them sat down beside me, squabbling a bit. I cast a quick glance at them, noticing how serious their expressions were. The three of us looked straight ahead, where the beauty of Morgen High was clearly visible.

"Okay ka lang?" Davin started in a gentle voice.

I pursed my lips, keeping my gaze fixed ahead. It was a simple question, yet I didn't know how to answer. The weight inside me made it hard to speak.

"Turns out you already ended things with Jayscen," Jester muttered. "Pero okay ka na ba?"

Honestly, I didn't know how to respond. For me, I still believed I made the right decision. If we continued, I would only become a burden and complicate things for him. It was too risky for both of us, especially in a situation like this. Jayscen has dreams he needs to chase, and I have no right to hold him back by staying.
