Chapter 30

For the first time in a long while, I felt whole—complete, like a puzzle piece finally finding its place.

So this is what it feels like to achieve something you have long wished for, a feeling so fulfilling that contentment comes naturally. Words fall short in capturing how grateful I am for the blessings I have received. And now that Jayscen is truly mine, my boyfriend, I can finally say it out loud.

It feels almost too real to believe.

"Welcome to booth number 5!"

Nagsimula na ang business summit ng overall Grade 12. Isinabay 'yon sa Founding Anniversary ng Morgen High, which is the biggest event in our school every year. Halo-halong mga kaganapan ang mangyayari sa loob ng isang linggo.

Since the entire Grade 12 is involved in selling, our entry for the Art Exhibition will be the drawings we created in CPAR: caricatures of ourselves dressed in outfits representing our dream professions. And additionally, our section is booth number 5. The open ground of Morgen High is filled with food stalls from every Grade 12 class, creating a lively atmosphere filled with chatter and excitement all around.

May mga dayo rin kasi na galing sa iba pang school. Okay na rin 'yon para mas madami kaming mapagbentahan.

The entire field is adorned with a variety of colorful flags and banners, and there's even a large tarpaulin at the entrance of Morgen High. On the last day, the bands are sure to perform again. Even though it's still early in the morning, Morgen High is already bustling with activity, so we're busy preparing all the food we will be selling.

"Uy! Pabili ng isang box ng spicy chicken wings!"

Davin's loud voice greeted my ears when he arrived at our food stall, along with crackhead Jester, who was busy munching on food that I suspect they bought from another stall.

Naturingang mga Grade 12 students ang mga 'to who are supposed to be selling right now, but here they are, wandering around while stuffing their faces.

"Paawat ka naman! Tignan mo nga 'yang hawak mo, oh!" Tinuro ko ang dala-dala niyang mga naka-kraft paper na box at drinks na nakalagay sa cup. "Ilang box ba?"

"Isa lang muna, hehe!"

Napailing na lang ako at saka nagprepare ng order niya. Nagbayad din naman siya agad tapos naghatakan na silang dalawa ni Jester na maglibot daw ulit.

Since kami muna ng mga ka-grupo ko ang schedule na magbabantay ngayon, mas magiging busy pa kami for the next hours. May mga stall din ng ibang section na mayroong videoke kaya dinig ito sa buong field. Dumadami na rin ang mga tao habang tumatagal ang oras.

"Ate Rize! Hello!"

I beamed when Wine approached me in her usual joyful grin. May mga kasama siyang Grade 11, malamang ay naghahanap din ng puwedeng bilhin.

"Hi, Wine! Anong bibilhin mo?" nakangiti kong tanong.

"'Yong nagtitinda!" aniya at tumawa.

"Ay, hindi na siya available, sorry," I said with a smug face.

They quickly chose what they wanted to buy, thanks to the menu posted right in front of our food stall. It didn't take long for them to decide. They ended up ordering drinks and desserts dahil perfect daw 'yon na kainin habang naglilibot sila.

"Hala, stressed na ang lola ko," natatawang puna ni Finnley nang makabalik siya sa stall namin. Aamba na sana siyang kukuha ng drinks mula sa binibenta namin pero tinampal ko agad ang kamay niya.
