Gyeongchip (경칩, 驚蟄) usually falls around early March (between March 5th and 7th). It is a traditional marker of early spring in Korea, when hibernating animals start to wake up as the weather warms.
It's a symbolic turning point where the chill of winter fades and the growth of new life begins.
