"Ugh!"
Once again, a sharp pain throbbed at the center of Eun-oh's forehead. He opened his eyes, sweat dripping, realizing it was deep into the night.
Frequently, Eun-oh found himself awakening in this manner, a result of both the pain and recurring nightmares.
It wasn't common for this to happen...
The steady breathing and the warmth felt behind him were undoubtedly from Young Master. Unlike Eun-oh, who often struggled with disrupted sleep, Young Master usually slept soundly until morning.
Eun-oh cautiously touched his forehead, feeling the dull ache. Internal curses echoed within him. Once he woke up, it was challenging to fall back asleep. Most likely, he would end up witnessing the sunrise again today.
With nothing to do, he absentmindedly blinked in the darkness. All he could see was the void.
Darkness had a way of fueling unease and fear, as they say. It was a fitting observation. Unwanted thoughts continued to invade his mind.
Am I truly a Yokai? Could horns be growing again? If that's really the case... If that's the case, what would Young Master do to me?
Young master who hates Yokai.
The man who could kill people without any hesitation was right next to me.
If horns were to sprout on his head, if one day his eyes reverted to their original color, and if he turned into a Yokai...
"It's terrifying."
No matter how much he thought about it, only the worst scenarios came to mind.
He felt a strong urge to go outside, to feel the wind on his face. Yet, perhaps due to fatigue, he couldn't find the will to move.
So, Eun-oh decided to turn his body, burying himself deeper in Young Master's chest.
Terrifying, yes, but in his current slumber, it was a warm and comforting place.
