"Hmm."
In a hurry, the doctor, who had been called, checked Chae Yoon-sa's pulse. Although Chae Yoon-sa had regained consciousness earlier in the morning, he had fallen back into a deep slumber and had yet to wake up again.
Did something go wrong again? Eun-oh anxiously waited for the doctor to speak.
Eun-oh wasn't the only one awaiting the results. In the room were also the landlord, Do Wook, and his wife. After a while, the doctor briefed Do Wook on the pulse examination results.
"Indeed, there's a response to pain unlike before. It seems he has emerged from the coma."
Just yesterday morning, Chae Yoon-sa showed no response to any stimuli. However, now, whenever stimulated with water, his eyelids flickered, or his hands twitched.
This indicated that he had emerged from the state of unconsciousness.
"At this rate, he should fully regain consciousness soon."
"That's a relief to hear."
Do Wook sighed in relief.
"From now on, if we carefully manage medication and meals according to the schedule, he should recover quickly. With such a robust body, once his strength is replenished, he should be able to rise again."
"Thank you. You truly have the skill to bring the dead back to life, doctor."
Do Wook expressed praise towards the doctor, and Eun-oh, unable to stay still, bowed deeply to the doctor. Just a short while ago, it was uncertain when Chae Yoon-sa would regain consciousness, and there were even suggestions to consider euthanasia if this state persisted.
Therefore, today's positive diagnosis from the doctor was particularly heartwarming. The doctor, having received praise from Do Wook and a bow from Eun-oh, awkwardly coughed as if feeling uneasy. Soon, he discovered a wound on Eun-oh's back of the head and asked with surprise
"Wait. Did you get injured? There seems to be bleeding on your scalp."
"Oh, yes. I bumped into something yesterday"
Eun-oh covered the back of his head and hesitated. Unwilling to admit being attacked by Cha Yoon-sa, he continued
"Just a minor collision."
"Let me have a look"
The doctor said, inspecting Eunoh's head despite his protests. Lady Do, observing alongside, soon discovered a wound and clicked her tongue.
While the shape of the injury wasn't clear amidst hair and bloodstains, it seemed significant.
"The flesh is torn, and you just left it like that? How foolish! You should have spoken up. What if things go wrong?"
Lady Do scolded in a stern voice. When Eun-oh, feeling defeated, hunched over, Do Wook signaled her to stop with a glance.
"What's your opinion, Doctor? Is the injury on the severe side?"
"Fortunately, it doesn't seem to require stitching, but it's advisable to administer some treatment."
Upon the doctor's words, Eun-oh nodded and gestured
"I'm fine now. It doesn't hurt anymore."
Hmmp! Lady Do gave Eun-oh a stern look, as if scolding him again. He pressed his lips together in response. Doctor also joined in, admonishing Eun-oh.
"You might think you're fine, but if handled improperly, it could lead to infection or complications"
"That's right. If you want to take care of your master who's in pain, you should take care of yourself too. Doctor, please inform our servant about what needs to be prepared"
