I was still sitting outside with Nate, when I heard the door open and I looked back to see Kook walking out the door. I instantly got anxious because I really didn't know what he was coming out here to say, but I figured it was for Nate.
Kook: Nate, I think we are about to leave here shortly so go get your things together.
Nate: No, not yet. Please can we stay a little longer?
Kook: Olivia is ready to go, and you will need to get ready for bed soon. Go get your things together.
Nate: Okay fine.
He got up looking sad, and super disappointed.
Kook: Tell Amelia bye before you head inside.
Nate: Bye Amelia, Can you come over soon?
Amelia: I'm not sure, but I'll try too.
Nate: Okay.
He came over and gave me a hug and ran inside. I figured since I heard the door close that Kook would have followed Nate inside but I turned around to see him standing up against the wall behind me.
Amelia: I thought you went inside.
Kook: No, I needed a minute.
Amelia: Same here.
Kook: So, are you and Dohwan are friends?
Amelia: I don't know if I would say friends, but he offered to bring me home because it was raining really hard outside.
Kook: That was nice of him.
Amelia: Mhm.
Kook: I'm sorry for the way I reacted over the kiss, and how I've been cold to you.
Amelia: No it's fine. We don't have to talk about it. We can just forget it ever happened.
Kook: Yeah.
I looked over at him and gave him a half smile. It really hurt my feelings to say that to him, but I feel like I really crossed the line that day, so I just wanted to move past it. I hate that it came to us being this awkward around each other.
Kook: I'm going to head back inside, I'll see you around.
Amelia: Yeah, see ya later.
He turned around and started to open the door.
Amelia: Kook...
Kook: Yeah?
He said as he turned around to look at me.
Amelia: I'm sorry I put us in this situation, I misread the situation.
Kook: You have nothing to apologize for, we're good. Nate is going to head back home to his parents soon, you should come spend some time with him before he leaves. He enjoys his time with you!
Amelia: Yeah, I'll definitely do that.
Kook: Good. I'm gonna get going. I hope you have a good night, and be careful with Dohwan, he's my best friend but he likes to play games.
