Amelia's eyes widen, her breath hitching in her throat. The wind picks up, sending a shiver through her body that has nothing to do with the cool evening air. She tries to pull away, but Dohwan's hand remains steady, his eyes never leaving hers. The confession hangs between them like a tightrope stretched to its breaking point. "Dohwan..." she whispers, her voice shaking. "What are you doing?"

Dohwan: What I should have done a long time ago.

He murmurs, his thumb still tracing her lip. "Telling you how I feel." Amelia's mind reels with a tornado of thoughts and emotions. The wind howls around them, echoing the chaos inside her. She can feel the warmth of Dohwan's breath on her face, and the scent of his cologne is a heady mix with the rain-kissed air. The world seems to pause, the neon lights of the city below dimming as she searches his eyes for any hint of doubt.

Dohwan: I know it's complicated, but I can't keep this inside anymore. I need you to know that you're not just Kook's, Amelia. You're mine too.

Amelia: What?

The wind picks up, carrying with it the scent of the approaching rain, as Dohwan's words hang in the air, charged with a raw, unbridled emotion that Amelia can almost taste. She feels her world tilt on its axis, the foundations of her reality cracking under the weight of his confession. Amelia's heart races as she stares at Dohwan. The truth in his eyes is unmistakable, and it sends a tremor of doubt and confusion through her. "What are you saying?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.

Dohwan: It's always been you Amelia.

Amelia: What about Renee?

Dohwan's eyes drop to the rooftop, the neon lights of the city casting a sad glow on his face. He takes a deep breath, bracing himself for the painful truth he's about to reveal. "It's a long story," his voice heavy.

Amelia: Dohwan...

His eyes flick back up to hers, filled with a mix of hope and dread. The first drops of rain begin to fall, mingling with the tears on her cheeks. "I know it's a mess," he says, his voice tight with emotion. "But I can't lie to you anymore." Amelia was frozen in place, not sure what to say. The situation was getting too real. It was forcing her to bring up all the feelings, shes been pushing aside for him. All she can see is Kook's face, and how pissed he would be right now, if he knew what was happening.  Amelia knew that Kook really might kill Dohwan. She knew she couldn't let it happen. " You know this could never happen, right? "

Dohwan: Never, say never.

Amelia: You and I both know, that it would be over before it ever started. Kook would kill you.

Dohwan looked away knowing how serious things could really become if Kook ever found out his true feelings for Amelia. He knew she was right. " I know. " He said miserably.

Amelia: Then why are you doing this? Why didn't you tell me how you truly felt before all of this?

Dohwan: I knew I'd never win.

Amelia: Win?

Dohwan: Kook would always win when it comes to you.

Amelia sighed " I do love Kook, I have since the moment I met him. " Dohwan started to walk away, Amelia grabbed his wrist " But I also love you. We grew to know each other in ways I don't think other people could ever know us. That first night together, was something that stays with me. I'm just so confused. "

Dohwan: Yeah, and I don't want you to make a sudden choice. I just wanted to let you know how I really felt. I've bit my tongue for so long, I just couldn't do it anymore.

The rain begins to fall in earnest now, soaking through their clothes and mingling with their tears. The thunder rolls in the distance, a cacophony of emotions echoing through the night. Amelia's eyes are wide, her mind racing as she tries to process Dohwan's confession. The world around them fades into the background, leaving only the two of them standing on the precipice of a decision that could change everything.

Dohwan's reaches out and wraps his hand around her arm, and it slides down to her wrist, his grip firm but gentle. He pulls her closer, the warmth of his body a stark contrast to the chilly rain. Their eyes lock, a silent conversation playing out between them as the droplets trace a path down their faces. The air is charged with tension, each inhale a silent plea for understanding, each exhale a declaration of love and fear. Dohwan leans in, his mouth hovering just above hers. "Choose your happiness, Amelia," he whispers, his breath hot against her skin. "Choose who makes you feel alive, who makes you feel seen."

Amelia's eyes drift closed, and for a moment, she considers it. The rain is a soft drumbeat against the rooftop, a rhythm that seems to urge her to lean into the embrace that Dohwan is offering. But then she pulls away, her eyes snapping open. "I can't," she says, her voice shaking. "I can't betray Kook like that." Dohwan's expression shifts to one of understanding, the corners of his mouth tilting up slightly in a sad smile. He nods, the rain plastering his hair to his forehead. " I'll wait no matter how long it takes " he says, his voice thick with his own pain.

Amelia: Dohwan...You deserve someone who can love you with their whole heart.

He nods slowly, his grip on her wrist loosening. "But what about you?" he asks, his voice hoarse. Amelia looks up at Dohwan, the rain mingling with her tears. "I want you to be happy, Dohwan," she says, her voice strong despite the tremble. "I don't want you to waste your life waiting for someone who's torn between two worlds." Dohwan took a deep breath, and took a step toward Amelia. He placed a kiss upon her forehead, and slowly walked toward the door. " Let's get back inside and finish up. "
