Rukayyah walked out of her room to get some water when she bumped into no one other than Sumayyah in the sitting room. She was frightened at first but she mellowed down after because she usually bumps into her while she's working.

However, Summayyah wasn't on her screen, typing or researching. She was just sitting there idle, staring at her laptop and lost in her thoughts.

Rukayyah observed her closely, wondering what was bothering her. She checked the time on the wall clock which says 30 minutes after 12. She sighs before walking towards her.

"You are killing yourself though!" She said, as Summayyah blinked herself out of her thoughts, she smiled. "Why did you say that!?"

"Look at you, who is making you lost in your thoughts? Do you feel the need not to work for the client again? If he or she is actually wrong just quit the case, as Simple as that!" She huffs, opening the fridge.

"I don't even know if he is right or wrong!" Summayyah mutters, with a wobbly voice, Rukayyah immediately slammed the fridge and rushed to her. "So it really is a client that is putting you in such a tight spot! Huh?" She hissed, grabbing the water bottle and clenching her teeth. "Oh he would be dead meat when I meet him!"

Summayyah couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you even up at the hour? Shouldn't you be asleep?" She asked.

Ruqayyah shrugged as she opened the bottle and poured the water into a glass cup then drank. "I was thirsty."

"Isn't faruq in there?"

She twitched her lips to the right. "He is tired and moreover, he sleeps just like a baby. Don't you notice how cute he is when he sleeps!" She squealed. Somehow, summayyah felt at ease when Rukayyah came, she felt less disturbed, but how long is she going to stay like this?

Aren't I being a burden to Faruq?

Of course you are? You Shouldn't have come to him?

If I hadn't, who would I go to?

"Hey are you even listening to me?" She asked, knocking on the table, to bring her out of her thoughts. "What did you say again?"

She sighed. "I really need to see this client of yours, what is his name?" She asked, reaching for the file on the desk but Summayyah quickly grabbed it away before she could reach it. Her behaviour shooked the both of them, but as Ruqayyah is very understanding, she let it slide. "Maybe i should let you work, make sure you get some sleep okay!" She said walking to the door.

"Mm, and take care of yourself too!" She replied, without looking at her. Rukayyah left and immediately she felt the door to Ruqayyah room shut. She breathed out in relief, as she started to unfold the file and brought out the papers of Khalil's murder case.

'How did this get to our firm either way?' She sipped her coffee and decided to do some research on the victim but there was no result and somehow, the location stated in the file has been renovated into something new. "This is not going to be easy. Ya Allah!"

She rested her back on the chair, massaging her shoulder and other parts of her body, like her neck, arm, wrist and even waist for seating for long. She would have loved to share her situation with someone but no one has to know, not even Ibrahim, Faruq or even Luqman.

"I will have to make sure, this is fake before it gets to the internet but how? I would have to speak to him about it!"

"Mummy" came Azman, standing by his room door with his hand on the knobs, she turned around immediately as a wide grin spread across her face by the sight of her son. My joy.
