Amal's wedding came with colors that seemed to dance in the sun. Khalil had invited Summayyah and her family, including Faruq and his wife and they couldn't turned down the offer, not when Rukkayyah was so hyper to see Summayyah again. The Asraf household was alive with music, scents of baked treats, soft whispers, and bold laughter. Everyone had gathered, family, friends, even old classmates who hadn't seen each other in years. But nothing sparked more excitement than the arrival of Jamila from England.

Halima screamed first, hugging her like they were still in university, like nothing had changed. Then Summayyah joined them, laughter bubbling from her chest as she clung to them both.

"I can't believe this is real," Jamila said, holding both their hands. "You girls look like peace."

Halima laughed. "Peace after chaos!"

Jamila chuckled and winked. "Speaking of chaos... is Faisal still in the picture?" She asked and Summayyah felt lost. "Faisal! What picture!?" She asked.

"Surprisingly, yes," Halima grinned. "He's quiet these days... but he listens now."

Jamila smiled, proud. "You deserve that."

"I'm lost, are you two a thing!?" Summayyah asked and Halima smiled awkwardly but Summayyah found the new shocking that she gasped closing her mouth. "And both of you kept it away from me!? How could you!" She felt betrayed.

"No Summy, we were also trying to figure it out. The talking stage just took longer than expected because of my experience!" Halima lamented.

"Hmpt! I wish you well then!" She said, but both Jamila and Halima knew she was still made but she made sure that didn't spoil the wedding.

Across the garden, Ibrahim was busy chatting with some old friends when Jamila found herself beside him. They hadn't seen each other in years, but there was something easy in their conversation, like an old song playing on low volume. "I didn't know you were coming!" Ibrahim said.

She shrugged. "I missed Nigeria and my friends. So you are family with the Asraf!" She asked and he nodded. "You never knew!?"

She shook her head, "that never really crossed my mind!" They laughed, shared memories, teased each other, and though nothing was said outright, the sparks were unmistakable. "Woah wait, you two know each other!?" Summayyah asked walking up to them when she found them laughing at their own jokes. "Yeah we met in London, we used to be in the same major!" Ibrahim replied.

All Summayyah could do was nodded. "How much are my friends hiding away from me!" She lamented before walking away when she heard Rukkayyah calling her. When the two of them met, they squealed and hugged eachother tightly like it has been decades since they have met. They exchanged pleasantries and she asked of noor and Rukkayyah replied. "She's with Asma'u! Where is Azman!?" She asked and Summayyah pointed at a corner when Azman seats with Hanan, Ali and baby Faisal.

"He is fitting in right!?" Rukkayyah asked.

"At least yeah, Inna Faruq!? (Where is Faruq)" she asked.

"Oh probably at the guys section." Rukkayyah said, pointing at the group of men in white ironed Kaftan, one of them was Khalil talking to Faruq and she felt they were having a no good conversation but she was just over thinking.

"I thought you wouldn't come!" Khalil said.

Faruq shrugged. "I wouldn't, my wife wants to see Summayyah!" He answered and Khalil smiled. "Thank you for taking care of her for me! I thought you actually married her!" He said, jokingly.

"I would have, but that wasn't in our fake contract, I only helped her"

"You have my thanks!"

Soon, the bride was ready, Amal looked stunning in her white lace bridal Gown and Yusuf standing beside her as they took pictures, posing romantically something Khalil and Summayyah never did. In their picture it was as if they were taking passports but not withstanding.
